The Dallas Cowboys placed DT Jay Ratliff on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list Tuesday, Aug. 27, and he will be required to miss at least the first six games of the regular season. The earliest he can be activated is Oct. 14.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garret said DT Jay Ratliff (hamstring) is making progress with a hamstring issue. The hope is that Ratliff will get some preseason games in and be ready for Week 1.

Huddle Up: Hamstrings linger, so it may be a couple days before Ratliff is able to pass the test. But right now there are no concerns about his availability for the start of the season.
