The Medina County Gazette reports Cleveland Browns WR Josh Cribbs (neck) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 20, and is questionable for Week 11. However, head coach Eric Mangini made it sound as if Cribbs will play.

The Huddle Take: Cribbs is a fantastic talent wasted on a team going nowhere. But if he does play, the Cleveland D/ST could be worth a Fantasy look against the Lions. Not only would Cribbs pose a threat to score a TD on every kick he fields, Detroit's Matthew Stafford has been an interception machine lately. If you're in a league that doesn't penalize defenses for yardage/points surrendered, Cleveland is worth consideration.

The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns WR Josh Cribbs (undisclosed) was taken off the field on a cart after the teams Week 10 game. Cribbs was hit hard by Baltimore Ravens DT Brandon McKinney as the clock expired, and he laid motionless in the middle of the field for several minutes.

The Huddle Take: Cribbs had movement in all extremities after being taken to the hospital. It's probably pretty safe to say Cleveland will sit Cribbs out this week against Detroit as a precaution.

Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the agent for Browns WR Josh Cribbs, J.R. Rickert, said he will still attempt to hammer out a contract extension for his client after the team did not trade Cribbs prior to the trade deadline. A potential deal may not come until after the season. "There's got to be a way to work this out," Rickert said.

The Huddle Take: Cribbs has been angling for an extension for some time now. Given the Browns' reluctance so far to reward their most talented offensive player with a new deal, it may take a holdout next year for Cribbs to get his point across.

Marla Ridenour, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini said playing WR Josh Cribbs a the No. 2 wide receiver spot is not an experiment, and that he is happy with Cribb's progress.

The Huddle Take: Cribbs is the most dynamic playmaker in the Browns' offensive arsenal, so it makes sense to get him on the field as often as possible and get the ball into his hands.

The Akron Beacon Journal, reports Cleveland Browns WR Josh Cribbs, a special teams ace, is making a case for a starting job at wide receiver during training camp. He said it is his goal to win the No. 2 job opposite Braylon Edwards. Cribbs said the coaching staff wants to get him the football regularly instead of force-feeding him with gadget plays. He is working on improving his route running and fundamentals with hopes of winning the job. In regards to his contract situation, Cribbs would not provide an update but said he is happy to be on the field now and he is not worried about his contract.

The Huddle Take: With Cribbs showing promise in camp and battling rookies Robiskie and Massequoi, the Browns are still far from naming the starter opposite Braylon Edwards. Fantasy owners should watch this battle develop throughout the preseason as the wideout that emerges as the No. 2 should have some nice value in fantasy leagues this year.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Cleveland Browns WR Josh Cribbs is planning to report to training camp but is adamant about not playing in a regular season game without a new contract or significant progress toward one, according to a source. Cribbs' agent is expected to travel to Cleveland this week to have talks with the team.

The Huddle Take: This sort of posturing is normal every preseason. It's as inevitable as the sun rising in the east. If Cribbs does miss regular season playing time -- and that's unlikely, the Browns' special teams obviously would take a major hit. But don't bet on Cribbs missing very much time, if any.

Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Browns WR Josh Cribbs' representatives are planning to meet with the team this week in an effort to convince them to redo Cribbs' contract. Cribbs reportedly participated in the team's voluntary and mandatory minicamp only after assurances that the contract matter would be discussed prior to the start of training camp.

The Huddle Take: Cribbs, one of the top return men in the game, has been making noise about his contract all offseason. If something isn't done prior to training camp, a holdout is a distinct possibility—further sapping the Browns of what little offensive firepower they currently have on their roster.

John Taylor, of The Orange and Brown, reports Cleveland Browns WR Josh Cribbs is so unhappy with the lack of progress on a new contract that he will skip the team's minicamp this week, according to multiple sources. A source familiar with the situation said that talks between the two sides on a new deal "have gone nowhere. Absolutely nowhere."

The Huddle Take: On a team that seriously lacks playmakers, Cribbs is one of the few Browns who's a threat to do something when he has the ball in his hands. It sounds as if the next step might be a trade demand; perhaps the Browns can package him with Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards.
