The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday, Aug. 31, that they have placed TE Ben Utecht (head) on Injured Reserve.
The Huddle Take: Look for rookie TE Chase Coffman to see quite a bit of playing time this season. If Carson Palmer can regain the form he showed prior to the injury that cost him most of the 2008 season, Coffman could be a huge sleeper.

CBSSports.com reports Cincinnati Bengals TE Ben Utecht (concussion) will not play in the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 14. He is not expected to be in uniform any time soon.
The Huddle Take: Utecht has been brought in to give Carson Palmer the tight end option he has been missing the last few seasons and he certainly has the skills to be a solid option in the passing game. Fantasy owners should consider Utecht a decent tight-end option if he can return to the field in full health sooner rather than later.

The Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals TE Ben Utecht (concussion) suffered a concussion during the team's afternoon practice Wednesday, Aug. 5, according to public relations director Jack Brennan. Utecht was unconscious on the field for over 10 minutes before being taken to the hospital. Utecht was conscious and has movement in his upper and lower body as he was being taken to the hospital.
The Huddle Take: This is certainly something for fantasy owners to monitor as Utecht figures to get a fair amount of opportunities with QB Carson Palmer back on the field this season. If the former Indianapolis TE can bounce back early on from this setback he could be a viable fantasy player if you miss out on the elite TE's during your fantasy draft.
