The Chicago Bears have signed veteran K Robbie Gould to a 5-year contract extension which will run through the 2013 season. Gould's contract will now be worth $15.5 million which includes a $4.25 million signing bonus. "I'm excited about the contract I signed," Gould said. "I'm excited to be a Bear. ... This is definitely a win-win on both ends."
The Huddle Take: Gould will provide the Bears a Pro-Bowl caliber kicker for many years to come and give the Chicago offense a solid weapon to put points on the board. Gould has converted on 84 of 99 field goal attempts in his career while also making 99 of 100 PAT's. He was named to the Pro-Bowl team in 2006 and has been a solid point producer for the Bears throughout his NFL career. Fantasy owners should have Gould high up on their draft charts when selecting kickers in the latter rounds of fantasy drafts.
