Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles has impressed new quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave with his ability to process everything that is happening on the field quickly. 'We know he's a gifted athlete. He can throw the ball exactly where he wants to. He can add air, add touch. He can add velocity and really drive it when it's needed. But to see the way that he can visualize formations, coverages, and process what he sees has been impressive,' Musgrave said. Musgrave thinks Foles can work on getting rid of the ball faster, taking fewer hits and moving the ball forward with his legs when needed.

Huddle Up: Consider that Musgrave comes to the Eagles from Minnesota, where quality quarterbacking wasn't an everyday occurrence. If Musgrave can help Foles get ride of the ball even faster in Chip Kelly's already-rapid offense, the Eagles will put up video game numbers--a situation welcomed by fantasy owners everywhere.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles has been working on throwing the ball in cold weather. His focus is on getting grip and flicking the ball.

Huddle Up: The weather forecast calls for temps in the mid-20s Saturday night in Philly, but Foles has seemed to weather all other challenges with a 27-2 TD/interception ratio and there's no real reason to start doubting the QB now.

With 263 yards and two touchdown passes against the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles finished the regular season with 27 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Huddle Up: Foles went 19 touchdown passes before his first INT of the season, and his not turning the ball over is a big reason why the Eagles are in the postseason.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said QB Nick Foles will be his quarterback moving forward beyond 2013 and into next year if he stays healthy.

Huddle Up: Foles has played unexpectedly well, and the guys around him have benefited. Keep this in mind in keeper and dynasty leagues.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick (hamstring) will practice in full Tuesday, Nov. 26, but head coach Chip Kelly said he will back up QB Nick Foles in Week 13. Kelly said Foles doesn't need to look over his shoulder and should have a 'desire to excel, not fear of failure.'

Huddle Up: No surprise here as Foles has scored at least 20 fantasy points in 3 straight games. This week, though, he faces his toughest test yet with the Cardinals' rugged D coming to Philly.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles (concussion) declared himself ready for the team's Week 9 game. "I am ready to play," Foles said. "It was a long week last week. The most important thing is to be healthy."

Huddle Up: It will be Foles back at the controls with Vick already ruled out this week and likely a few weeks beyond that. Now the trick is for Foles to guide the Philly offense into the end zone -- a place the Eagles haven't visited the past 2 games aside from a special-teams TD.

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles (concussion) is expected to return to practice Tuesday, Oct. 29. He is likely to start in Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Either scenario, Foles or Matt Barkley, is a step down from Michael Vick. However, after aggravating his hamstring last week it's unlikely we'll see Vick for a while.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles (concussion) has not yet been cleared to practice, and it appears his concussion might linger.

Huddle Up: It sounds like the Matt Barkley era might have begun in earnest in Philadelphia. From the looks of things, it's not worth picking him up.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles (concussion) won't practice this week, but he has done some conditioning and attended meetings.

Huddle Up: After 2 mixed-result starts, it's back to the bench for Foles as Michael Vick returns for a tasty matchup against the not-so- formidable Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said QB Nick Foles (concussion) suffered a concussion in the team's Week 7 game and will go through the concussion protocol.

Huddle Up: Hopefully it's not a serious injury, but concussions seem to knock players out for at least one week. It seems the chances are good Michael Vick will start, depending on his hamstring.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles is expected to start in the team's Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as QB Michael Vick (hamstring) deals with a hamstring issue.

Huddle Up: This will be Foles' chance to overtake Michael Vick for the starting job. He performed well when Vick went out with injury. He gets a decent matchup against the Buccaneers this week, but don't fall all over yourself to put him in your lineups. In the meantime, make sure Vick is out of your lineups.

  • Posted: 8/20/2013 5:50pm ET

The Philadelphia Eagles are unlikely to trade QB Nick Foles now that he's been named the backup to QB Michael Vick.

Huddle Up: There would be a market for Foles' services, but the Eagles are smart to keep their options open. Why deal a player who may end up starting a few games into the season if Vick struggles out of the gate in Chip Kelly's new offense or gets hurt and misses time like Vick has a habit of doing?

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly told reporters QB Nick Foles would start the team's next exhibition game against the Carolina Panthers. Foles was 5 of 6 for 43 yards after an early fumble against the New England Patriots.

Huddle Up: Foles will get his shot against Carolina and he'll need to take advantage with an impressive performance. While Foles didn't play poorly in the preseason opener, Mike Vick looked sharp and appears to be in line to start Week 1.
