The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (thumb) participated in practice Friday, Dec. 5. He is listed as probable for the team's Week 14 game and will play.
The Huddle Take: Grant appears ready to play in Week 14 but fantasy owners involved in the first round of their league playoff may want to consider other options at least for this week as he will likely split carries with Brandon Jackson. Grant should be viewed as a No. 3 running back for this week only and worthy of starting if you don't have any other options on your roster.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (thumb) fully participated in practice with a large splint on his hand Wednesday, Dec. 3. He is expected to play in the team's Week 14 game.
The Huddle Take: Fantasy owners need to be concerned about the status of Grant heading into the playoffs especially if he plays with a large splint that could cause him problems holding onto the ball. Grant is a nice No. 2 running back but don't expect the production out of him that you are accustom too in light of his injury status. Fellow running back Brandon Jackson should also see a fair amount of carries down the stretch.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (thumb) left the team's Week 13 game with a sprained thumb. He will wear a big splint in practice this week and is likely to play in Week 14.
The Huddle Take: Grant is almost as injury prone as Ahman Green, but seems to be able to play through a bit more of it than Green ever could. This is a positive in its own right, but it is still troubling that he's so banged up all the time. At this point though he appears to remain a solid start.

The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant had 25 carries for 145 yards with a touchdown during the team's Week 11 game.
The Huddle Take: Grant has had his share of problems this season but he remains a solid No. 1 running back option for a team that can still put up lots of points. The Packers starter will continue to get even more attention as the weather gets colder in Green Bay as playoff time becomes closer.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (hamstring) participated fully in practice last week and played a majority of the snaps in Week 4. Grant didn't aggravate the injury and appears ready for full-time duty.
The Huddle Take: He played this week, but you'd hardly know it based on the twenty yards he garnered on fifteen carries. Chalk that up to a solid run defense though and expect him to be ready to roll again as he's evidently healthy.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (hamstring) participated in practice Friday, Sept. 26. He is not on the injury report for the team's Week 4 game.
The Huddle Take: Grant seems to have returned to almost full strength from his hamstring injury that has limited him to start the year. Expect the Packers to throw the ball alot early in the game to setup the run against a tough Tampa Bay defense. Grant should be started by fantasy teams as a No. 2 running back with the potential to post some strong numbers if the Packers get a lead and try to control the ball with the run.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 24. He is not listed on the injury report for Week 4. He should be available for more than the 20-25 snaps he played in Week 3.
The Huddle Take: Grant should be close to full strength for the Week 4 contest against the Buccaneers which gives the Packers another huge weapon to keep the Bucs off balance. With the nice play of quarterback Aaron Rodgers this season, expect a solid game from Grant who is capable of posting huge numbers against any opponent.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 18. He is expected to practice Friday, Sept. 19, and play Week 3.
The Huddle Take: Hamstring injuries have a tendency to linger throughout the season and could impact Grant's production in the coming weeks. If you have Grant on your team expect a few nice games from him but also look for some bad ones as well since he will likely not run with the same authority as last season. Also monitor his status closely on Friday to make sure he practices which could indicate whether he might play or not this week.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant is still being bothered by his nagging hamstring injury. "He was very sore at halftime," head coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday, Sept. 9. "It affected him on the long run. It's just something that we're being cautious with. It's unfortunate for him. I know he's a little frustrated with it, but he was not at full strength last night. I thought he did a very good job of giving us what he could." Grant received just three carries in the second half and was told not to push it too hard once he hit the open field. The team likely will still limit him in practice, but he should be able to go in Week 2.
The Huddle Take: Brandon Jackson will continue to get some carries for the Pack, and fantasy owners need to downgrade their Grant expectations until the hamstring issues are behind him.

ESPNews reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 5.
The Huddle Take: This is never a good sign. If you have Grant you should be exploring your options as it would be tough to think that Grant would be up to a good outing after missing so much time. If he's a go and you have no other, fire away, but don't have high expectations. Brandon Jackson would look to benefit if Grant can't go. Also note, many reports are saying that he's being held out on precaution only and will play, so keep tabs and expect to put in a lineup at the last moment.
