Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey denied an earlier report that DE Mario Williams (wrist) had a torn ligament in his wrist. He said he was never advised of any issues with the ligament in his wrist.

Buffalo Bills DE Mario Williams (wrist) said Wednesday, Oct. 31, that his 'wrist feels great' and he has some extra motivation to turn his season around. 'I have a little something extra to prove,' Williams said when asked about his slow start to the season.

Huddle Up: More than a few fantasy GMs bought into the Sleeper Bills hype before the season, but quickly have discovered that Williams and Co. were woefully unable to deliver as the Buffalo D ranks next-to-last in points allowed to opposing fantasy QBs and third-to-last vs. opposing fantasy RBs. Now, those offensive players are must-starts when the Bills appear on the weekly schedule.

Buffalo Bills GM Buddy Nix said it's time for the team to show improvement and start winning games, particularly with some big offseason additions like DE Mario Williams and DE Mark Anderson. 'Obviously, the offseason acquisitions helped, but I still think it was time - if we had not gotten Mario and Mark - it would have still been time to start winning some games,' Nix said. 'It's time to close it out and win some games. Until we do, it's not complete.'

Huddle Up: Williams and Anderson instantly fortify the Bills' defensive line and make it possibly the deepest, most talented unit in the NFL on paper. Whether or not that translates to real wins has yet to be seen...

Buffalo Bills DE Mario Williams is returning to a 4-3 defensive alignment, which he feels will cater to his pass rushing strength. Williams is excited to start taking part in the team's OTAs so he can pick up the team's terminology and have a better understanding of the plays. Williams noted his biggest items of focus are shaking the cobwebs and becoming comfortable in the system.

Huddle Up: Super Mario is part of "Williams Wall II" along with Kyle Williams, not to mention future Pro Bowl DT Marcell Dareus. The Bills only had 29 sacks last year (and 10 of those were in one game) but could reach 45+ this year if the injury bug doesn't sting too hard. File under: Sleeper Defenses.
