The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young is due a $4.25 million roster bonus in March.

The Huddle Take: This should come as no surprise to the Titans franchise. They should get ample opportunity to evaluate whether Young is their quarterback of the future over the next two months; if he falters, they should be in position to address the position in a relatively quarterback-rich 2010 NFL Draft.

The Tennessean reports Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young will start in Week 8, according to sources.

The Huddle Take: Haven't we seen this movie before? And if memory serves it didn't end well. Nothing in this version should lead you to think the ending will be much different.

ESPN.com, reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher downplayed QB Vince Young's recent comment during an interview on The Zone in Nashville. Young recently said that he would like to play elsewhere if he can't take back the starting job. Fisher said, "I didn't bat an eye at it, when I saw Vince today we didn't bring it up. He was in the weight room working out, had a great workout." Fisher added, "He's been here just about every day and he's having a great offseason. That's really the only thing that's important to me. I would expect everyone on our football team to want to start. You need that attitude. I think he may have been led on a little bit in the interview, but I'm not paying attention to it, he knows there is no potential for us to move him and I am not backing down off of what I said at the end of that ball game or the Monday or Tuesday after Jacksonville."

The Huddle Take: The Titans have a tremendous amount invested in Vince Young after taking him with a high first-round draft pick just a few seasons ago. It certainly does not seen realistic for Tennessee to move him especially now with his value being much less that the Titans would hope to get in any trade. Fantasy owners looking for a quarterback should steer clear of Young unless he somehow can unseat Kerry Collins in the lineup.

The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has made it clear to QB Vince Young that he has to earn the starting job back if he wants to play. Fisher said, "Vince is in a situation now where he will have to do everything he possibly can to earn his job back. That starts with the offseason commitment."

The Huddle Take: Sounds like a motivational ploy to ensure that Young attends all of the Titans' offseason workouts, with the potential of winning back his starting gig the carrot Tennessee will dangle in front of him.
