The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a five-year deal with free-agent WR Greg Jennings. Jennings' deal has a max value of $47.5 million, with $18 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: The Vikings fill their glaring need for a go-to receiver by inking Jennings to a deal that is believed to be less than what the Packers were offering earlier in free agency. He'll immediately assume the team's WR1 duties and likely serve as a mentor to whomever Minnesota selects as their WR1 of the future with one of their first-round picks.

Free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers) is meeting with the Minnesota Vikings Thursday, March 14, according to a source.
Huddle Up: With the Dolphins already choosing Mike Wallace over Jennings, it would appear the WR likely will either sign with Minnesota or hook up back with the Pack.
Posted: 3/13/2013 12:07pm et
The Green Bay Packers offered free-agent WR Greg Jennings a contract with a salary of $10 million per season "a while ago," according to a source. Another source indicated Jennings has been in discussions with the team about a possible return.
Huddle Up: Jennings has talked about testing the free agency waters, but after Miami overpaid Mike Wallace the market has thinned for receivers. Minnesota is still reportedly interested, but there was no talk of an offer being made on the opening day of free agency. Jennings has mentioned he would prefer a dome or a warmer climate, but he may opt to stick with the offense he knows--and a healthy paycheck.
Posted: 3/12/2013 12:02pm et
The Indianapolis Colts have not expressed an interest in free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers), according to a source.
Huddle Up: Jennings' stock has been on the wane for a while now, and his best option still might be the Vikings, whose WR cupboard is barren after dealing Parcy Harvin on Monday, March 11.
Posted: 3/7/2013 12:55pm et
The Miami Dolphins do not value impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings as much as some think. Jennings is not in the initial plans as the team approaches free-agency.
Huddle Up: Mike Wallace definitely seems to be shaping up as the hotter commodity on the market, but Jennings could suddenly appear more interesting to whomever misses out on the Steelers' free agent.
Posted: 3/4/2013 5:32pm et
The Green Bay Packers have decided that they will not place their franchise tag on impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings.
Huddle Up: The lack of a tag strongly suggests Jennings has played his last game in green and gold. The Vikings and Dolphins are expected to be among Jennings' most aggressive pursuers in free agency.
Posted: 3/4/2013 12:40pm et
The Green Bay Packers are still mulling using the franchise tag on impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings before the deadline to use the tag Monday, March 4. General manager Ted Thompson said at the NFL Scouting Combine that the team would like to retain Jennings.
Huddle Up: Fantasy owners of James Jones and Randall Cobb would prefer to see Jennings elsewhere, but Jennings couldn't ask for a better quarterback to be throwing the ball to him than Aaron Rodgers. However, Jennings' fantasy numbers might be better as an unchallenged WR1 elsewhere, depending on where he lands.
Posted: 2/25/2013 12:59am et
The Green Bay Packers are still considering the possibility of placing the franchise tag on impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings this offseason.
Huddle Up: This would be an unexpected twist that definitely would throw a wrench in the plans of several WR-needy teams.
Posted: 2/22/2013 1:04pm et
Rumors around the NFL Scouting Combine are that free-agent WR Greg Jennings is seeking a contract worth $14 million per year.
Huddle Up: It was my understanding that there would be no math, but $14 mil a year would put Jennings in Larry Fitzgerald territory--in other words, among the most handsomely-compensated wideouts in the NFL. Seems aggressive, but maybe the Dolphins or Vikings are desperate enough for receiver help that they'd overpay to such a degree.
Posted: 2/21/2013 1:53am et
The Miami Dolphins are expected to talk to the representatives for free agent WR's Mike Wallace and Greg Jennings at the NFL combine in Indianapolis this week. The Dolphins have a plan that makes Wallace the top priority to sign, but they also have interest in Jennings, possibly as a replacement if Wallace falls through, or possibly in addition to Wallace.
Huddle Up: The Dolphins are on the hunt for receiving help, and Wallace and Jennings are the top two options in free agency. However, either would take a significant fantasy hit with the downgrade at quarterback.
Posted: 2/19/2013 1:23pm et
The St. Louis Rams likely will not show interest in Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings or Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe because they consider Jennings an injury risk and are worried that Bowe's play could decrease after he receives a big contract.
Huddle Up: The Rams may not go big with a FA WR signing but they're going to have to dip into the pool at some point as their top 2 wideouts -- Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson -- are unrestricted free agents.
Posted: 2/18/2013 6:44pm et
The Green Bay Packers do not appear to have made any recent contract offers to impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings. It is believed the team does not to invest a lot of money in a player that has dealt with injuries the last few seasons. The team is not expected to place their franchise tag on Jennings.
Huddle Up: The Packers are well-stocked at wide receiver and don't seem interested in paying big money to bring Jennings back. Jennings, meanwhile, has been associated with several other teams including the Dolphins and Vikings. When healthy Jennings has more than enough talent to be an impact fantasy wideout, but he's unlikely to land in a situation where he has a quarterback as talented as Aaron Rodgers throwing him the football.
Posted: 2/14/2013 3:30pm et
Impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings (Packers) said Wednesday, Feb. 13, that he would be interested in joining former offensive coordinator, and current NFL head coach Joe Philbin, with the Miami Dolphins. 'I wouldn't mind that at all,' Jennings said. 'The weather's definitely nice. They have an up and coming quarterback.'
Huddle Up: This is a seemingly perfect match that has been discussed for months. It likely won't take long after open free agency starts on March 12 to find out whether or not probability becomes reality.
Posted: 2/9/2013 11:23pm et
The Kansas City Chiefs could show interest in Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings if they are not able to re-sign impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe this offseason.
Huddle Up: Jennings will be plenty familiar with Andy Reid's offense, and the Chiefs sans Bowe would be in desperate need of a WR1. There will be other suitors for Jennings, but expect the Chiefs to be at or near the front of the line.
Posted: 1/27/2013 7:00pm et
The Minnesota Vikings could look to add a wide receiver in free agency that could serve a deep threat for the team. Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe, Green Bay Packers free-agent WR Greg Jennings, Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace and Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent WR Donnie Avery could receive from the Vikings.
Huddle Up: If it's a deep threat the Vikes crave, Wallace (career 17.2 yards per catch) and Jennings (15.4) would by far be the best options of the bunch as Bowe and Avery are more possession/underneath targets.
Posted: 1/13/2013 10:27pm et
Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings said he
hopes to re-sign with the team but is willing to go to another team
if a deal can't be worked out.
Huddle Up: Aaron Rodgers wouldn't mind having Jennings back, either, but with
the team's WR depth and other, more pressing needs, look for
Jennings to be playing elsewhere in 2013.
Posted: 1/3/2013 2:12pm et
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings said there are some disadvantages to playing at home in the postseason. Jennings did not mind previous playoff runs that went through warmer cities or domed stadiums. 'I'm not opposed to playing here,' Jennings said of playing at Lambeau Field. 'Obviously, with our crowd and our fans, that's what we want as a team. But going on the road, being isolated away from everyone, I think the focus level and the sense of urgency is just a tad higher because you're dependent on your teammate. You travel, you're in a hotel - you're all together. It's you guys against everyone else outside of that hotel.' Jennings also said he'd take a playoff game on good turf like a dome. 'Absolutely. I mean absolutely, I would be on turf, quick. Dome. Are you kidding me?'
Huddle Up: Hmmmm. Could it be that a new team and home stadium in 2013 are already on Jennings' mind?
Posted: 1/1/2013 4:11pm et
The Miami Dolphins likely will pursue a playmaking receiver such as Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Greg Jennings or Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace if they become available during free agency.
Huddle Up: The Fins most definitely could use some big-play WR help after the team's possession-oriented wideouts combined to catch all of 3 TD passes this season.
Posted: 12/14/2012 12:08pm et
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings said he's prepared to sign with another team in free agency after the season. He said there has been no talks about an extension with the team.
Huddle Up: The Packers are deep at receiver and aren't likely to throw a bunch of money at Jennings to stick around. While he's not exactly young, and his injury history makes him somewhat risky, Jennings should have his choice of multiple short-term, incentive-laden deals this offseason.
Posted: 12/3/2012 12:20am et
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings returned Sunday after a 7-game absence
and caught 4 passes for 46 yards in a 23-14 Week 13 win over the Minnesota
Vikings.
Huddle Up: Jennings was targeted 8 times and his return coincided with fellow WR Jordy
Nelson's first-quarter departure with a hamstring injury. With a game now under his
belt, Jennings should only become more invovled in the offense going forward.
Posted: 11/30/2012 4:42pm et
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (hernia) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 30, and is probable for Week 13.
Huddle Up: Again, do not expect too much from Jennings this weekend after a long layoff. He very well could have a huge game, but he is just as likely to play half the snaps and garner three targets.
Posted: 11/28/2012 5:05pm et
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (hernia) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Huddle Up: Tread with caution here as Jennings has been out of action for a good while. His past chemistry with Aaron Rodgers could help him get back into the offensive flow with ease, but it might be best to wait and see how much he will play and how effective he will be. This dings Randall Cobb and James Jones in terms of fantasy value.
Posted: 11/27/2012 8:23pm et
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said WR Greg Jennings (hernia) could be on a limited snap count in Week 13. The team will know more by how Jennings responds in practice this week.
Huddle Up: At last, Jennings will be back after missing the past 7 games, but definitely expect him to be eased back into action.
Posted: 11/26/2012 11:37am et
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he believes WR Greg Jennings will be ready to play in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings. McCarthy said following Week 12 that Jennings was healthy enough to play against the New York Giants; however, having only practiced a few times in the past two months, his endurance wasn't ready for game action. McCarthy is confident Jennings would practice without limitation this week and be able to play in Week 13.
Huddle Up: Jennings hasn't played since Week 4 due to an abdomen injury and a heavy filming schedule for his array of commercials. He'll have to battle James Jones and Randall Cobb to regain his spot in Green Bay's receiver rotation, and given his lack of practice time he could be on a somewhat limited snap count. Given the number of targets at Aaron Rodgers' disposal it will be difficult to trust Jennings with a fantasy start until he demonstrates he's all the way back.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said WR Greg Jennings (hernia) might not be quite ready to return in Week 12 against the New York Giants. McCarthy suggested that the team is happy with Jennings' recovery from hernia surgery, but the receiver might practice part time for a week and then return full time in a practice before being ready to play in a game. Jennings took a pre-set number of snaps in the team's 11-on-11 drills and worked extensively with the scout team in practice.
Huddle Up: Jennings has made some definite progress but still sounds a week or two away from seeing game action for the first time since way back in Week 4.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (abdomen) said Wednesday, Nov. 22, he felt great after practicing for the first time since having surgery Nov. 1 to repair a torn abdominal muscle. Jennings caught balls and ran routes in his limited time at practice, then went inside to run and work on his endurance. 'There were some routes I was able to push it,' Jennings said. 'I pretty much pushed myself to see how much I can take. As far as speed, I got up to full speed on a few routes. Felt really great. My wind is horrible right now so I'm trying to get my wind under wraps. But other than that, I felt great. I felt no pain whatsoever. It's been a long time coming since I could say that.' Head coach Mike McCarthy said it would be a stretch if Jennings plays in Week 12, and the receiver does not have a timetable for a return at this point.
Huddle Up: Don't look for Jennings back on the field before Week 13 at the earliest. In the meantime, though, the Packers' WRs have manged just fine with Randall Cobb's emergence and James Jones' improvement.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (hernia) is feeling much better and wants to return to the team soon, however, his doctor has different plans. Jennings is pain-free and has a timetable in mind to return, but he's not sharing it with anyone just yet. The plan was for Jennings to run at full speed 3 weeks after undergoing surgery Nov. 1. 'It's like a little kid you let taste a piece of candy,' Jennings said. 'Now you try to feed him vegetables again, it's not really going to happen. They've experienced the candy, they want candy. I've experienced working out, now it's like, 'Just let me go.''
Huddle Up: Reading between the lines, it sounds like Jennings is going to be out a few more weeks, and that means the fantasy owners of James Jones and Randall Cobb can start their wideouts with confidence.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (hernia) said he is not putting any timetable on his return. 'Hopefully sooner rather than later,' Jennings said of his return. 'The doc thinks later, I think sooner.'
Huddle Up: Smooth sailing for those riding the James Jones express with no set date for Jennings return.
Posted: 10/26/2012 10:22pm et
Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb is expected to get more chances, more touches and to pick up the slack with WR Greg Jennings (hernia) sidelined. Cobb might emerge as the next star receiver with the team.
Huddle Up: Cobb certainly seems to have the tools to grasp this opportunity, and makes an intruiging fantasy option as we head down the stretch.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) will undergo surgery on his torn groin Tuesday, Oct. 30. He did not give a timetable on his return, but head coach Mike McCarthy has said the injury is not season-ending.
Huddle Up: The injury may not be season ending for NFL purposes, but it would seem to all but kill his fantasy chances for 2012. Without a timetable for his return we can only guess on time missed based on the term "torn goin." Looks like a drop if you haven't already.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said WR Greg Jennings could undergo surgery on his injured groin. The surgery is one of the options being considered.
Huddle Up: Nothing official yet, but if surgery is among the options we shouldn't be anticipating Jennings' return any time soon. And Jennings' absence extends the fantasy run of James Jones and Randall Cobb.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) is seeking a second opinion on his groin injury, according to teammate WR James Jones, in order to see if there is anything else he can do to get back on the field. It's conceivable Jennings might be held out until after the bye to give him time to recover. The second doctor's opinion could change the treatment plan and the recovery time, or he could just agree with the current strategy.
Huddle Up: With all the talk about lingering injuries and second opinions here, this is starting to have the feel of a lost season for Jennings, who was drafted as a No. 1 wideout. The Packers' bye is Nov. 11, and Jennings' fantasy owners likely will have to wait until the week after to gain any more clarity on the situation.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.
Huddle Up: Jennings continues to be hampered by his injury, and it looks like he will be out again this week. This gives the rest of the Packers' receivers a boost once again. An injury to Jordy Nelson gives James Jones and Randall Cobb an even bigger boost if he is out.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings saw a specialist Tuesday, Oct. 23, regarding his troublesome groin, according to a league source. There is no indication as to when Jennings could return to the lineup; however, he could be sidelined until after the team's bye week.
Huddle Up: Jennings doesn't appear set to return any time soon, meaning James Jones and Randall Cobb will continue to see extended looks in the explosive Packers passing game. At this juncture you can't bank on anything from Jennings the rest of the way.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) has been ruled out of the teams Week 7 game.
Huddle Up: As expected, Jennings will miss another week. This bumps the values for Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb once more, but Cobb might be the best start this weekend. While he is not on the field as much as the other two, he might find the most space out of the trio with the attention the defense will pay to Jones and Nelson. Cortland Finnegan might draw Cobb in the slot, but Davone Bess carved Finnegan up last week, and Cobb is a better receiver.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) did not participate in
practice Thursday, Oct. 18.
Huddle Up: It's definitely looking like Jennings will miss his 4th game in 7
weeks, and that means the fantasy owners of James Jones and Randall
Cobb can start them with confidence again in Week 7.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 17, and he appears to be a long shot to play in Week 7.
Huddle Up: This is good news for Randall Cobb owners as the sophomore receiver gets another week as the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart. If Jennings cannot go, it could be a big week for Cobb.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) has been ruled out of the team's Week 6 game. Jennings will test out the injury at the end of next week in hopes of returning for the Packers' Week 7 contest.
Huddle Up: This is quickly taking shape as a lost first half of the season for Jennings, who only has played in 3 games so far, logging 12 catches for 78 yards and a TD. On the flip side, WRs James Jones and Randall Cobb both continue to warrant fantasy-starting consideration.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Huddle Up: He is a game time decision this week, and an untrustworthy fantasy start. Unless you are desperate, seek help elsewhere before inserting Jennings into your lineup. Even if he is healthy, it might take him a game or two to get back into the flow.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) has been ruled out for Week 5.
Huddle Up: As expected, Jennings will miss his second game in 5 weeks this season. As a result, give fantasy bumps to James Jones and Randall Cobb with the Packers travelling to Indy.
Posted: 10/3/2012 7:22pm et
Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) has a good chance of sitting out in Week 5, and there's a possibility that he'll sit out for longer, too. Jennings' straight-line speed has been the most affected by his injury, and he is 'extremely frustrated' with his ailment. He said he can't create separation from cornerbacks right now, and he's managing only 6.5 yards per reception this year.
Huddle Up: It looks like Jennings owners should be making alternative plans for that lineup spot this week and perhaps beyond. Unable to separate from cornerbacks is a pretty big deal. Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb all get boosts while he is out.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Huddle Up: His one catch last week happened to go for a touchdown, salvaging what would have been an atrocious fantasy day against the soft Saints defense. The Packers have another nice matchup against the Colts, but it increasingly looks like other options in this offense will be better for business this weekend.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy indicated WR Greg Jennings (groin) could sit out Week 5 to allow his groin to heal. Jennings left the Week 4 game early because the groin injury flared up and did not allow him to run at full stride.
Huddle Up: Jenning clearly wasn't up to snuff in his return, and with James Jones suddenly making some clutch catches the Packers would be well served to let Jennings get right.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) left the game early Week 4
because of a groin injury and will not return to the game.
Huddle Up: Jennings missed the Packers' Week 2 game with a groin injury, and it appears as if
he reaggravated it Sunday. He finished with only 1 catch for 9 yards Sunday but it
did go for a TD.

One of the most glaring weaknesses for the Green Bay Packers offense so far this season has been production after receptions. WRs Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb all have averaged fewer yards post-catch in the first three games than they did last season. 'We've addressed that in our room, especially on those little bubble routes,' Nelson said. 'Just catch it and get vertical. Definitely get the first downs. Don't try to make a home-run play out of something small.'
Huddle Up: The top-flight defenses (49ers, Bears, Seahawks) the Packers have faced also need to be factored into the equation. Things, however, are looking up with the defenseless Saints coming to Lambeau in Week 4. Look for the Green Bay offensive numbers to improve across the board.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 27.
Huddle Up: Odds are the Packers are being cautious with Jennings, who played through his groin injury last week. He may be limited Friday as well and could be listed as questionable, but indications are he'll be available for the Packers for this weekend's battle with the Saints.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Huddle Up: Jennings played Monday night and was the most frequently targeted player (10) in the Green Bay passing game, catching 6 passes for 35 yards. Better yet, he didn't appear to aggravate his injury any further, so he figures to be good to go this Sunday barring any setbacks later in the week.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings posted six receptions in the Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks Monday, Sept. 24, but he managed only 35 yards.
Huddle Up: Jennings played despite a questionable tag due a groin strain that kept him out of Week 2. The Green Bay wideout did have a fourth-quarter scoring catch that was subsequently overturned by a replay review. In all, not too bad considering Jennings' health and the pressure QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offensive was under all night from the swarming Seattle defense.

Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings (groin) will play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3 Monday, Sept. 24.
Huddle Up: Jennings is active and expected to start, a boost for QB Aaron Rodgers against a rugged Seahawks defense on the road.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is calling WR Greg Jennings a game-time decision for Week 3. Jennings said he will play in the team's Week 3 game, adding that his injured groin is still sore but feels good enough to play at a high level.
Huddle Up: Odds are you had to make your lineup decision regarding Jennings already; if not, or if you kept Jennings in your fantasy lineup based on positive news late in the week... well, you're not out of the woods yet.
