The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (hip) participated in practice Friday, Nov. 20. He is listed as questionable for Week 11 and will be available.
The Huddle Take: Norwood will take some carries from Jason Snelling this week if Michael Turner can't play, and it looks like Turner will be out. However, Snelling will likely see most of the action this week against the Giants.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (hip) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 19, after missing the last four games with an injured hip flexor.
The Huddle Take: Norwood's return to practice is a good indication he'll be able to play in Week 11 against the Giants and see a significant amount of action. Those who plucked Jason Snelling off the waiver wire assuming he'd get the vast majority of carries in Michael Turner's absence may be disappointed.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 12. He is not expected to play in Week 10.
The Huddle Take: Norwood continues to remain out with a hip injury that was sustained several weeks ago. As long as the talented backup running back remains out of action, fantasy owners should expect Jason Snelling to remain the primary backup to Michael Turner in the Atlanta ground attack.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30. He is not expected to play in Week 8.
The Huddle Take: Michael Turner should once again get the vast majority of carries.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (hip) does not expect to play in Week 7 after suffering a hip flexor in Week 6. Norwood said he could miss a few weeks because of the injury.
The Huddle Take: This leaves Jason Snelling to back up starter Michael Turner. Snelling will not provide the offense with the "change of pace" they need, and get from Norwood. Look for Turner to see a few more touches this weekend in Dallas.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood suffered a blow to the head Week 2 and did not return.
The Huddle Take: NFL teams are being much more cautious with concussions and head injuries, so it wasn't surprising that the Falcons didn't rush Norwood back to action. Assuming he receives clearance this week, he should be back on the field for his limited duties in Week 3.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 11. He is listed as probable for the team's Week 1 game.
The Huddle Take: Norwood will likely only see limited action against Miami in Week 1 since Michael Turner should get the bulk of the carries. Norwood makes a decent change of pace runner and is capable of exploding for big plays when he is fully healthy.

AtlantaFalcons.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons could use the Wildcat formation this season with RB Jerious Norwood taking the direct snap. Offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey said Norwood is able to throw the ball out of that formation.
The Huddle Take: The under utilized Norwood brings a different element to the offense and could be a valuable weapon in a Wildcat style offense like the Dolphins use. Fantasy owners should look at Norwood as a nice sleeper option as a No. 4 running back that could post some solid numbers with an increased role in the Falcon offense this year.
