Rick Maese, of The Washington Post, reports the Redskins have re-signed free-agent RB Quinton Ganther. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: The former seventh-round pick of the Titans has nine career rushing attempts, though he's averaged a healthy 6.8 yards per carry. With both Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts battling injuries, Ganther could see immediate action in the Redskins' backfield.

Gary Estwick, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris J. Henry will compete for the team's No. 3 running back position during training camp with RB Quinton Ganther. Henry was inactive for all but one game during the 2008 season. RBs coach Earnest Byner said both have had strong offseasons for the team.
The Huddle Take: The name to keep in mind here is Javon Ringer, a rookie out of Michigan State. He, too, has been impressive during OTAs and it wouldn't be at all surprising to see him leap over both Ganther and Henry into the backup role behind Chris Johnson and LenDale White.
