Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz racked up nine receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets in the Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Ertz was limited by an injury to his ribs late in October, but he has looked good in November and into December. Ertz has six or more receptions in four of his past five outings, and he has found the end zone twice in the past three games. He can be trusted again as a low-end TE1 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 14 against the Washington Redskins.

  • Posted: 11/28/2016 8:53pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted three receptions for 36 yards in the Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers Monday, Nov. 28. He was targeted six times.

Huddle Up: Ertz had a disappointing performance against a poor Packers pass defense. Fantasy owners will look for a rebound in Week 13 at Cincinnati.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 10:53pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted six receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Week 11 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was targeted 11 times.

Huddle Up: Ertz had a decent line against a good defense, and he should excel in Week 12 against a banged up Green Bay Packers pass defense. Consider him a TE1 for next Monday's outing.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 12:18pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 11 game.

Huddle Up: Ertz has played well over the last few weeks but is still looking for his first touchdown of the season. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues since he is facing the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 9:53am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) is on track to play in the team's Week 11 game even though he is listed as questionable.

Huddle Up: Ertz still has not been able to find the end zone but has posted back-to-back solid performances. He will be facing a solid Seattle Seahawks defense bur could still be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/18/2016 11:12am ET

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) has been listed as questionable on the Week 11 injury report, but he returned to a full practice Friday, Nov. 18.

Huddle Up: The Eagles have made Ertz more of a priority over the last two weeks and he has rewarded their faith with 14 catches for 152 scoreless yards. The fourth-year pro has yet to find the end zone this season and only has scored nine times in 3 1/2 years, so his upside is capped somewhat. Regardless of his lack of touchdowns, any tight end receiving as much volume as Ertz has seen lately is in the TE1 discussion.

  • Posted: 11/18/2016 7:35am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 11 after he suffered a hamstring injury in practice Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been solid the last two games, but his durability is in constant question. It might be best to look elsewhere instead of risking an aggravation against the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Posted: 11/17/2016 12:19pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 17.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check on Ertz's status after practice Friday, Nov. 17, to see if he has a chance to play in Week 11. He has played well over the last two games and would be a low-end No. 1 tight end if he is able to play.

  • Posted: 11/16/2016 12:37pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Huddle Up: Ertz probably will be able to play despite the injury, but owners should monitor the situation during the week. He has caught 14 passes for 152 yards over the last two games but still has not caught a touchdown pass this season. Ertz will be facing a tough Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 11 but can still be a low-end No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/13/2016 6:29pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz posted six receptions for 55 yards on seven targets in the Week 10 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: The Falcons have had some trouble against opposing tight ends, but they did a great job against Ertz. He'll look to rebound in Week 11 in Seattle, but that's an awfully tough matchup.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 4:36pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz hauled in eight receptions for 97 yards on eight targets in the Week 9 game against the New York Giants.

Huddle Up: Ertz entered the game with just 15 grabs for 150 yards, so don't get overly excited about this one solid game. However if he is able to continue his rebirth against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10, he could re-emerge as a useful fantasy option soon.

  • Posted: 10/24/2016 5:58am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz managed just one catch for 14 yards in Week 7.

Huddle Up: He played 83 percent of the offensive plays, but it was his third straight quiet game. He'll be a bye-week replacement against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.

  • Posted: 10/8/2016 8:05pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz faces the Detroit Lions in Week 5, and the Lions have allowed five different tight ends to combine for six touchdowns in the first four games of the season.

Huddle Up: Ertz draws a friendly matchup in his return from a rib injury, and he should be deployed as a TE1 in Week 5.

  • Posted: 10/7/2016 1:05pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Huddle Up: Ertz should receive plenty of targets this week in the passing game after missing the last two games. Ertz is a solid No. 1 tight end in all leagues against the Detroit Lions.

  • Posted: 10/6/2016 12:16pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 6.

Huddle Up: Ertz should have a solid role in the passing game this week and likely will be targeted often in Week 5. He can be a fine starting option in all fantasy leagues as long as he can stay healthy.

  • Posted: 10/5/2016 12:20pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Huddle Up: Ertz appears to be on track to play in Week 5 after missing the last two games because of the injury. He should be a fine starting option in all leagues this week.

  • Posted: 10/4/2016 7:02am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) had an MRI Monday, Oct. 3, and he has received clearance to return in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Ertz had six grabs for 58 yards in Week 1, and he'll be a midrange TE1 against the Detroit Lions in Week 5.

  • Posted: 10/3/2016 9:47am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) is planning on playing Week 5 versus the Detroit Lions after an MRI on his ribs came back clear, according to CSN Philly's Reuben Frank.

Huddle Up: The Eagles' well-timed bye means Ertz will likely only miss one full game and send Week 2 superstar Trey Burton back into more of a supporting role. The fourth-year pro has shown an aversion to the end zone throughout his career, but he couldn't ask for a better spot this week, as the Lions gave up their sixth touchdown in four games to a tight end in their loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 4. Ertz should be considered a must-start if he plays Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/24/2016 7:52am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) will return to action Oct. 9, during Week 5's game against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Doug Pederson. He has already been ruled out for Week 3's game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers and the club has a bye in Week 4.

Huddle Up: Brent Celek and Trey Burton will once again split time at tight end for the Eagles against Pittsburgh, with Burton possessing more upside and worth considering as a low-cost option in daily fantasy contests.

  • Posted: 9/23/2016 7:32am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) has been ruled out for Week 3.

Huddle Up: Trey Burton had a solid game with a 5-49-1 line last week. He's worth consideration if you need an injury fill-in against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

  • Posted: 9/22/2016 2:04pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Huddle Up: It doesn't look promising for Ertz in Week 3. If he is ruled out then Brent Celek and Trey Burton would take over again. Burton has more upside and scored last week. He'd make for a solid, cheap play in daily contests, too.

  • Posted: 9/21/2016 12:21pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: Ertz missed the last game because of the injury and may need to sit at least one more week. Owners probably should look for other options to use in their lineups because Ertz probably would be limited if he plays in Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/21/2016 9:44am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) is out of practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: Ertz is likely to be a game-time decision against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He'd be a low-end TE1 if he suits up.

  • Posted: 9/20/2016 10:31am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) will likely be a game-time decision in Week 3 against Pittsburgh Steelers, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: Don't be surprised if the Eagles choose to hold him out another week. Trey Burton performed very well in Ertz's role against the Chicago Bears on Monday night and impressed the coaching staff enough during the preseason to earn himself some playing time now that he is over his calf injury. Consider Ertz a low-end TE1 at best this week if he gets the nod and Burton a high-end TE2 if he doesn't.

  • Posted: 9/17/2016 8:17am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) has been ruled out for Week 2's game against the Chicago Bears, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: Ertz had six receptions for 58 yards in the season opener against the Browns but did not practice at all this week and should be considered week-to-week going forward. TE Brent Celek was on the field for 49 percent of the offensive snaps against Cleveland and should see an increased role versus Chicago, making him a suitable replacement in seasonal leagues as well as DFS. TE Trey Burton should also see a spike in fantasy value due to Ertz's injury.

  • Posted: 9/16/2016 5:02pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 16.

Huddle Up: Ertz has missed each of the last two days of practice and may not be able to play in Week 2, so owners should monitor the situation. Brent Celek would receive a bigger role if Ertz misses the game but may not be a great fantasy option.

  • Posted: 9/15/2016 1:17pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 15.

Huddle Up: Ertz's status will be one to monitor right before game time Monday night. If he is unable to go, then Brent Celek would make for a nice, cheap play in daily formats and as a suitable replacement for Ertz in seasonal leagues.

  • Posted: 9/15/2016 7:57am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) has not been ruled out to play Monday, Sept. 19, in Week 2.

Huddle Up: Ertz would at best be limited against the Chicago Bears. Brent Celek caught one ball for 11 yards in Week 1. He's not a suitable replacement in fantasy, and Ertz's absence should continue to give Jordan Matthews high-end WR2 upside.

  • Posted: 9/12/2016 9:23am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib) is considered week-to-week with a rib displacement and his status for Week 2 is in question, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: The rib is not broken or cracked, but it appears there is a good chance Ertz will miss the Eagles' Week 2 Monday Night Football showdown against the Chicago Bears. Preseason star Trey Burton was inactive in Week 1 due to a calf injury, so Philadelphia could be forced to rely on Brent Celek and find some help outside of the organization if Ertz and Burton don't make significant progress this week.

  • Posted: 8/5/2016 11:36am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (head) is being evaluated for a head injury Friday, Aug. 5.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a bit of a tease in fantasy as he has failed to reach the end zone with regularity. He had a solid third year with 75 catches for 853 yards, but he scored just twice. He has improved every year, and he's a midrange TE1 with upside.

  • Posted: 8/1/2016 9:12am ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz will be featured in the red zone, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Huddle Up: Ertz has been a bit of a tease in fantasy as he has failed to reach the end zone with regularity. He had a solid third year with 75 catches for 853 yards, but he scored just twice. Ertz has improved every season, and he's a midrange TE1 with upside.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 1:02pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz said he isn't going to run his routes any differently for QB Sam Bradford than he would for QB Carson Wentz.

Huddle Up: Ertz's reception and yardage numbers have steadily improved in each of his three seasons. But now about those career-low two TD catches last year ...

  • Posted: 1/26/2016 9:57am ET

Updating an immediate report, Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz signed a five-year, $42.5 million deal with $20 million in guarantees Monday, Jan. 25. The deal makes him the fourth-highest-paid tight end in the league. Ertz can earn a maximum of $45.8 million because of $300,000 Pro Bowl incentives and $3 million in Pro Bowl salary escalators.

Huddle Up: Tight ends can flourish in the West Coast offense, which is what new coach Doug Pederson will run in Philadelphia. Here's hoping the Eagles use Ertz a bit more consistently than Pederson's Chiefs used the similarly talented Travis Kelce in Kansas City.

  • Posted: 1/3/2016 10:31pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz had nine catches for 152 yards in a 35-30 win over the New York Giants in Week 17.

Huddle Up: After a slow start to the season, Ertz closed out the year catching 35 balls for 450 yards and a touchdowns in his final four games. Ertz has teased fantasy owners before but he could finally be primed for a breakout campaign in 2016.
