Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick rushed six times for 28 yards in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals and he added four grabs for 30 yards.

Huddle Up: Riddick, Zach Zenner and LeGarrette Blount formed a three-headed monster in the backfield, filling in for the injured Kerryon Johnson. Riddick is only worth using as a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option in deeper PPR play.

  • Posted: 11/22/2018 1:44pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick caught seven passes for 48 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 12. He also rushed for 12 yards on two carries.

Huddle Up: Riddick has caught at least five passes in each of the last four games and probably will receive most of his touches in the passing game. He can be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues next week.

  • Posted: 11/15/2018 7:22am ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick has lined up in the slot 18 times since the team traded WR Golden Tate, which leads all running backs since Week 9.

Huddle Up: Riddick has 13 grabs for 96 yards the last two games combined. He's a sneaky flex option in PPR against the Carolina Panthers this week.

  • Posted: 11/11/2018 2:42pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick didn't have any carries but he had six grabs for 60 yards on seven targets in the Week 10 game against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Riddick is good for fantasy owners as a low-end RB3 in PPR leagues, especially when the Lions are playing from behind, which is fairly frequent. He has considerably less value in standard play. The Lions host the Panthers in Week 11.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 1:32pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick posted a game-high seven receptions for 36 yards on eight targets in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Riddick was busy as the team eschewed the run game for most of the second half playing catch-up, and Riddick was a big beneficiary on the short routes out of the backfield. He'll face another strong D next week, so the Lions might be playing catch-up again in Week 10 on the road against the Chicago Bears. Riddick is a decent low-end RB3 or flex play in PPR leagues, with less value in standard formats.

  • Posted: 11/2/2018 2:35pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

Huddle Up: Riddick likely will be part of the passing game if he is active for Week 9. He could be a possible flex option in some deeper point-per-reception leagues but is not a must-start fantasy option.

  • Posted: 11/1/2018 1:13pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

Huddle Up: Riddick has missed the last few games because of the injury but may have a chance to play this week. He probably would be involved in the passing game if he is active for the game but would be a risky fantasy option.

  • Posted: 10/26/2018 1:16pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and has been ruled out for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Kerryon Johnson likely will have a bigger offensive role with Riddick out of the lineup. He has played very well over the last four games and can be a No. 2 fantasy running back in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 2:37pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Riddick likely will miss another game and should be avoided in all leagues. Kerryon Johnson should continue to receive a majority of work at running back and could be a No. 2 fantasy running back or flex option.

  • Posted: 10/19/2018 9:10am ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) did not practice for a third straight day Friday, Oct. 19.

Huddle Up: Riddick has seen a total of 10 touches over his last three games and missed Week 6, so his absence shouldn't be that big of a deal. Kerryon Johnson should get see a bit more work in the passing game as a result.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 3:55pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: It's looking like Riddick will once again be out when the Lions take on the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday. If he doesn't play, that'll be five straight on the sidelines for the veteran tailback. Kerryon Johnson will continue to benefit in his absence.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 4:16pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: It's definitely a concern that straight out of the bye week, Riddick wasn't able to practice, but it could also be the team managing the veteran's reps. Obviously, his owners will have to be on top of his status throughout the week as a result of this development, but he's only a FLEX play in deep leagues anyway.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 2:42pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick caught four passes for 20 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. He also rushed for seven yards on one carry during the game.

Huddle Up: Riddick should continue to be used mostly as a receiver out of the backfield. He can be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues when he is facing a favorable matchup but likely will be on the bench most weeks.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 4:30pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (ankle) suffered an ankle injury late in the Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Riddick left injured and LeGarrette Blount was ejected, so Kerryon Johnson was the only healthy running back able to finish the game. The Lions host the Patriots in Week 3.

  • Posted: 8/21/2018 7:49pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Aug. 21.

Huddle Up: It is not known if Riddick is dealing with an injury or just needed a day off. He likely will continue to be used mostly as a receiver out of the backfield and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 4:27pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick rushed eight times for 16 yards in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals and he added three receptions for 23 yards on four targets.

Huddle Up: Riddick has proven to be a decent low-end RB3 or flex option in PPR formats, but he has significantly less value in standard play.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 12:05pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (wrist) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Riddick likely will share playing time with Ameer Abdullah this week but should receive a solid amount of touches in the running and passing game. He can be considered a flex option in point-per-reception leagues because he should have some success against the Cincinnati Bengals.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 1:10pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (wrist) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Riddick may not see as much work as he has been with Ameer Abdullah now fully healthy. He'll still see his fair share of touches, though, especially if Abdullah is in the dog house as has been speculated. Riddick deserves RB2 or flex consideration in PPR leagues.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 1:14pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (wrist) was full go in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Riddick continues to be the Detroit running back you want to start in PPR leagues. He came back down to earth last week, but Riddick has been a borderline PPR RB1 over the last three weeks. Start him comfortably in what is a terrific matchup versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

  • Posted: 12/16/2017 5:40pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick ran eight times for 49 yards in a Week 15 win over the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: With Riddick and Tion Green splitting carries as Ameer Abdullah heals, it has been a logjam in Detroit. Riddick is battling some wrist issues, but overall this was not the strong performance the Lions hoped for from their running game.

  • Posted: 12/16/2017 3:52pm ET

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (wrist) suffered a wrist injury in Week 15 and is considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see how long Riddick may be sidelined. Ameer Abdullah and Tion Green would see time at running back while Riddick is sidelined and would have value in most leagues.
