Carlos Frias, of the Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said WR Ted Ginn Jr. will be given the opportunity to win back his starting receiver job. Ginn said he believes his big plays on special teams can help him make big plays on offense.
The Huddle Take: You'd like to think Ginn's special teams prowess could translate to the receiver position; certainly that had to be the belief when the Dolphins spent a high first-round pick on him. The key difference might be catching a punt vs. catching a pass, something Ginn has struggled with this season.

The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. returned two kickoffs for touchdowns during the team's Week 8 game. Both of his touchdowns came in the third quarter, making him the first player to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in the same quarter since former Green Bay Packers RB Travis Williams in 1967. Ginn did not catch a pass during the game.
The Huddle Take: Ginn is certainly an enigma and showed exactly why the Dolphins spent a high draft pick on him only a few seasons ago. He has been far from consistent as a wide receiver this year but he certainly has another gear and is a dangerous weapon for the Dolphins special teams when he gets into the open field.

ESPN reports Miami Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. will see reduced playing time after dropping several passes during Week 7. Ginn's snaps will likely be assumed by WR Brian Hartline.
The Huddle Take: Ginn spurred some high hopes for Fantasy players with he performance against the Jets a few weeks back, but that hasn't translated into sustained production. Hartline doesn't seem like someone worth a free agent pickup as of yet.

The Palm Beach Post reports Miami Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. was only thrown to three times in Week 4, catching one pass for four yards, due to the offensive game plan. Head coach Tony Sparano said the reason Ginn saw so few opportunities was that the Dolphins often ran their offense from a 'big' formation, which calls for two tight ends and other receives who normally work that scheme. WR Greg Camarillo, who works in that package, and WR Davone Bess each had five passes thrown to them. 'Ted got lost with that a little bit,' Sparano said.
The Huddle Take: Ginn's only significant outing this year was in week two when he went 11-108. In the other three games he has only three catches for 30 yards and has yet to score. The Miami offense rarely chooses to stretch the field, which is Ginn's forte. So he's a risky fantasy bet at this point.

The Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said he believes WRs Davone Bess and Ted Ginn Jr. are ready to have breakout seasons.
The Huddle Take: It certainly appears that Ireland and the Dolphins like what they see with their wideouts especially since they are not looking at some of the more noteable names in the market like Anquan Boldin or Plaxico Burress. If Miami can keep getting solid play from its quarterbacks there is tremendous upside with both Ted Ginn Jr. and Davone Bess this year.

ESPN.com, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said he likes how WR Ted Ginn Jr. has performed so far this offseason and that Ginn has a chance to be the team's No. 1 receiver. 'I really have seen him be, in some situations, pretty dominant,' Sparano said. 'So you can see his confidence really is at a high level right now. He's running better, playing a little bit stronger and really understands what's going on around him.'
The Huddle Take: Ginn has developed at a slower pace than originally expected by the Dolphins but could surprise this year as he clearly has the inside track to being Miami's top wideout. With Chad Pennington at the controls of the offense, expect the short passing game to be a focus with the big plays most likely coming with Ginn getting free with his blazing speed. Fantasy owners should view Ted Ginn Jr. as a solid sleeper option capable of posting solid numbers this year.
