The Jacksonville Jaguars released WR Laurent Robinson.
Huddle Up: Robinson had been cleared from the concussion that prematurely ended his 2012 season, but even prior to injury he came nowhere near living up to expectations after signing as a free agent in Jacksonville. Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts will be the Jaguars' starters, while Robinson enters an already-crowded free agent market for wideouts.
Posted: 2/22/2013 5:09pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said WR Laurent Robinson has been cleared to participate in football activities, but the team will monitor his health very closely.
Huddle Up: Robinson has been sidelined following a concussion, so it's good news that he's been cleared to play. Plenty of time for him to work his way back to the top of Jacksonville's receiver rotation.
Posted: 2/2/2013 9:32pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson's playing future is uncertain because he is still dealing with symptoms after suffering four concussions in a four-month span in 2012. Robinson is tentatively allowing himself two more concussions before ending his career.
Huddle Up: Robinson's impact in Jacksonville was limited by both his quarterback and his injury. Neither situation has cleared up, so Robinson's fantasy value heading into 2013 is iffy at best.
Posted: 11/21/2012 12:18pm et
The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed QB Blaine Gabbert and WR Laurent Robinson on Injured Reserve.
Huddle Up: Gabbert has shoulder issues that will require offseason surgery as well as a forearm injury that won't need surgical attention; Chad Henne will take over under center. Robinson suffered a concussion earlier in the season, briefly returned, and is now done for the year. Rookie Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts have stepped up as the Jaguars' go-to receivers in Robinson's absence.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson shook off the rust following a concussion by playing 45 snaps in Week 9, and he should see regular playing time in the team's Week 10 game.
Huddle Up: The Jags spent big money on Robinson in the offseason in hopes of giving Blaine Gabbert, and now it looks like they may finally be getting some bang for their buck. Robinson's playing time will likely come at the expense of Cecil Shorts, who had filled the role of go-to receiver in Jacksonville while Robinson and first-round pick Justin Blackmon underachieved through the first two months of the season.
Posted: 10/31/2012 7:25pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson (concussion) and QB Blaine Gabbert (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Huddle Up: Due to a combination of injuries, poor play and the continuing inconsistency at QB in Jacksonville, Robinson has been a fantasy flop with only 9 catches for 134 yards and no scores in 4 games so far this season. In the meantime, the play-making Cecil Shorts has been elevated to a starter, so Robinson is going to have to play his way back into the team's (and fantasy GMs') plans over the coming weeks.
Posted: 10/24/2012 1:10pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson (concussion) has passed his concussion tests and will take part in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24, with no contact.
Huddle Up: This is a good step for Robinson, who has been an abysmal disappointment for the Jaguars this season, but he is not out of the woods yet. Until he is cleared for contact, Robinson will not be on the field on game day. Keep an eye on his situation this week. Even if he comes back, there is little fantasy value here.
Posted: 10/24/2012 12:04pm et
Jacksonville Jaguar WR Laurent Robinson has not passed a concussion test, so his return date is uncertain.
Huddle Up: Robinson has been studying very hard, however, and he hopes to pass next time around. Meanwhile, Cecil Shorts has taken over as Jacksonville's go-to receiver.
Posted: 10/17/2012 1:12pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said WR Laurent Robinson (concussion) still has not passed a concussion test at this point. It appears Robinson will not be able to play Week 7.
Huddle Up: This was, perhaps, Robinson's best matchup of the season considering the health of the Raiders defensive backfield. If he cannot go, perhaps Mike Thomas will have a fluky good game. That is a roll of the roulette wheel if we have ever seen one, though.
Posted: 10/6/2012 7:01pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas will likely start in the team's Week 5 game
in place of WR Laurent Robinson (concussion).
Huddle Up: After leading the team in receiving in each of the past seasons, Thomas has only 3
catches for 29 yards so fr in 2012. Still, with the Jags ranking among the league's
worst passing teams, Jacksonville WRs aren't fantasy factors again this season.
Posted: 10/5/2012 1:25pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson (concussion) has been ruled out for the team's Week 5 game.
Huddle Up: Not that you were planning on starting Robinson, right? A terrible matchup for Blaine Gabbert just got worse with Robinson out. Avoid the Jaguars offense altogether this week against a tough Chicago defense.
Posted: 10/1/2012 2:50pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey indicated WR Laurent Robinson (head) suffered a blow to the head Week 4 and is undergoing concussion tests. Robinson may sit out Week 5 after taking hits to the head in each of the last two weeks.
Huddle Up: Robinson has found or will find his way to the waiver wire in most leagues, as his dream season in 2011 quickly fades from memory.
Posted: 9/29/2012 6:33pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson (concussion) is expected to play Week
4 after being able to practice Friday, Sept. 29.
Huddle Up: Robinson, a prized free-agent acquisition in the offseason, is tied with RB Maurice
Jones-Drew for the team lead with 8 catches for 115 yards on 16 targets so far but
probably won't be of much fantasy help apart from deeper leagues.
Posted: 9/27/2012 3:31pm et
Jacksonville head coach Mike Mularkey said WR Laurent Robinson was cleared to practice earlier in the week but had a setback. Robinson did not practice Thursday, Sept. 27, but Mularkey hopes Robinson can fully participate in practice Friday, Sept. 28.
Huddle Up: Robinson is dealing with a concussion, so the Jags are taking every precaution as per the league's new guidelines. He has yet to make an impact in the Jacksonville passing game so fantasy owners won't miss him if he isn't available this weekend.
Posted: 6/18/2012 1:36pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Laurent Robinson has emerged as the obvious leader of the receiving corps, and he tops the unofficial depth chart as offseason workouts ends. Robinson has a head start on the Jaguars offense, as he has played for Mike Mularkey once before.
Huddle Up: Rookie Justin Blackmon and holdover Mike Thomas are battling for the WR2 job; ideally Blackmon will keep his nose clean and win that role while Thomas plays out of the slot. Lee Evans and Cecil Shorts are fighting for the WR4 job, according to Jacksonville GM Gene Smith, but once Taylor Price recovers from the stress fracture in his foot he'll be in that mix as well. Of course, it will take significant improvement from Blaine Gabbert before any member of the Jaguars receiving corps has fantasy value.
