The Florida Times-Union reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker was inactive for Week 5 because he missed a bed check Friday, Oct. 9, due to a meeting with a lady friend, according to a league source.
The Huddle Take: Well now we all know. I sure hope that "lady friend" visit was worth it Mike. Your team got thumped and fantasy teams around the country got burned.

The Florida Times-Union reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker apologized for violating a team rule last week, which is why he was inactive for Week 5. Sims-Walker would not disclose which team rule he violated.
The Huddle Take: Sims-Walker should be back in the good graces of head coach Jack Del Rio, and on the field in Week 6. He and the Jaguars should put up a lot of points at home against the Rams.

Sean Leahy, of USA Today, reports NFL vice president of officiating Mike Pereira said Wednesday, Oct. 7, that one of Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker's touchdowns Week 4 should not have been awarded. Sims-Walker bobbled the ball in the end zone as he fell. Officials originally ruled it an incomplete pass, but awarded a touchdown after a replay review. Pereira said, "If you're contacted by the defender before you complete the catch (with) both feet going to the ground, then you're considered going to the ground. And you have to hold onto the ball after hitting the ground."
The Huddle Take: Not that either the NFL or your fantasy league will do anything about Sims-Walker's phantom touchdown, but if you lost because of that second score you have a legitimate gripe. Cue the world's smallest violin playing "My Heart Cries For You"...

The Associated Press reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker caught six passes for 81 yards Week 3.
The Huddle Take: With Troy Williamson out for the year, Sims-Walker will start opposite Torry Holt in Jacksonville. And with back-to-back productive games, he looks to be a serviceable fantasy option—at least until his next injury, which has been the primary obstacle to a productive NFL career thus far.

The Florida Times-Union reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker (ankle) said he feels cursed. Sims-Walker has spent the past three weeks rehabbing a high ankle sprain. 'I got a curse ever since I was drafted. I feel every time I come out and start playing well and try to get my groove back, something bad always comes down on me,' Sims-Walker said of his numerous injury problems. He has returned to the field this week and hopes to play in the team's preseason finale.
The Huddle Take: Sims-Walker has lost his starting spot to Troy Wiliamson, who will start opposite of Torry Holt. Since no Jaguar receiver is expected to have any sort of significant Fantasy impact this season, both Williamson and Holt should be considered bye week fodder at best -- for now, at least.

Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Walker left the team's scrimmage Saturday, Aug. 8, with a lower leg injury. Head coach Jack Del Rio said X-rays were negative and the injury is not believed to be serious.
The Huddle Take: Injuries have been the big hurdle for Walker, who has just 16 catches in nine games over the past two seasons. Sounds like this isn't serious, but for anyone looking at Walker as a sleeper this season yet another injury is disconcerting.

Vito Stellino, of The Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Walker appears to be in the lead for starting wide receiver job opposite WR Torry Holt.
The Huddle Take: The Jags aren't exactly stacked at wideout, but Walker had a nice game against Pittsburgh before suffering an injury that limited him to just four catches over the final three months of the season. And he's still looking for his first NFL TD.
