CBSSports.com reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards (concussion) believes he will be able to play in Week 10. 'I should be cleared and ready to go so I'm excited that I'll be able to help the team out in whatever capacity I can,' Edwards said.

The Huddle Take: If this were, say, Week 7, then Edwards would be a potential sleeper candidate against the Titans' pass defense. But since Cortland Finnegan's return in Week 8, Tennessee has looked much better against the pass. It no longer seems like a no-brainer to start any quarterback playing the Titans. So unless you're really hurting for a starting quarterback, Edwards isn't worthy of Fantasy consideration this week - whether or not he's cleared to play.

Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Bills QB Trent Edwards is not participating in practice Friday, Oct. 23.

The Huddle Take: Edwards hasn't practiced all week after suffering a concussion in the Week 6 win over the Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the start for Buffalo in Week 7.

Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards (concussion) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 22. He will not be able to play in Week 7.

The Huddle Take: Ryan Fitzgerald will once again be under center when the Bills take on Carolina this week.

The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards was 20-for-35 for 156 yards with an interception Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints.

Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards was 15-for-25 for 215 yards with two touchdown passes during the teams Week 1 game.

The Huddle Take: Edwards had a solid game against what's supposed to be a tough defense, and he did it with limited involvement from Terrell Owens. If he's available in your league, Edwards would be worth picking up if for nothing else than solid QB depth.

The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards went 10-for-10 during the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 15, against the Chicago Bears. He threw for 79 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, while working out of the team's new no-huddle offense.

The Huddle Take: Edwards could be a nice sleeper for fantasy owners this year since he has continued to develop his skills over the last few seasons. Now with Terrell Owens in Buffalo, Edwards certainly has more weapons at his disposal which can only increase the chances for big games in 2009.

The Buffalo News reports the 2009 season does not represent a make-or-break year for Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards. However, he needs to show more than just glimpses of being a franchise quarterback. 'The biggest thing for us offensively is our quarterback. It all starts with him,' offensive coordinator Turk Schonert said. 'He's another year into the league. He went through a lot of positive things, some negative things and learned. He's still growing, but he's already grown a lot. He's a more confident player now, and I think his confidence permeates throughout the offense.' Edwards, meanwhile, is aware of the expectations placed on him. 'I think that's part of the quarterback position,' Edwards said. 'I'm excited for it, I'm going to embrace it and I'm hoping for a big year.'

The Huddle Take: The addition of Terrell Owens, combined with a solid No. 2 receiver in Lee Evans and a strong running game with Marshawn Lynch combine to make Edwards a potential super sleeper this season.

ESPN.com reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards (shoulder) is getting second and third opinions on a shoulder injury to see whether he needs postseason surgery. Although the shoulder problem isn't considered serious, Edwards is just trying to make sure the shoulder isn't developing a problem that will affect him in 2009. He should know by next week whether he will need an operation.

The Huddle Take: If he needs surgery this could affect his readiness for the early part of the 2009 season, and while he isn't a top fantasy quarterback, he's on a young team that should be improving, which would likely help improve his numbers over time, so a setback would not be helpful in that regard. We'll monitor the situation and keep you up to date when he decides what avenue to take.

Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 18. He will play in the team's Week 16 game.

The Huddle Take: Edwards is unquestionably the No. 1 quarterback in Buffalo. J.P. Losman had yet another chance to provide serious competition for the spot, but failed miserably, throwing four interceptions versus only one touchdown, and losing two fumbles. Jake Delhomme looked good against Denver -- Edwards could be in line for some pretty good numbers this week.

ESPNews reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards (groin) is expected to start in the team's Week 16 game.

The Huddle Take: Edwards returns to action in Week 16 to battle the Denver Broncos who have been inconsistent at best this year. With Edwards back in the starter role for Buffalo, expect Gibran Hamdan to be the No. 2 running back and J.P. Losman to revert to the No. 3 quarterback behind Edwards.
