The Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery said he has been impressed with FB Le'Ron McClain in terms of his running, blocking and receiving. 'I'm really impressed where he is. The game has really slowed down for him. You would think in terms of coming back and the success he had that he would be big headed and have some cockiness. But he is re-inventing himself. He is taking coaching, and has showed me a lot in trying to be the fullback we want him to be,' Montgomery said.

The Huddle Take: McClain is just part of a running back committee in Baltimore with Ray Rice and Willis McGahee also involved in the offense. Last season the Ravens were heavily focused on the run and this year should be no different. With information coming out of training camp that McClain is looking good expect an increase in his workload especially around the goal line where he should be a major fantasy force.

Mike Preston, of The Baltimore Sun, reports Ravens FB Le'Ron McClain looks to be roughly 20 pounds over his playing weight thus far in offseason workouts.

The Huddle Take: Well, the plan was to return McClain to fullback so perhaps he's not worried about the additional weight.

Jamison Hensley, of The Baltimore Sun, reports Ravens FB Le'Ron McClain is saying all of the right things regarding his shift back to a more traditional fullback role. However, Hensley is hearing that McClain is unhappy with the potential reduced carries.

The Huddle Take: Use McClain's apparent discontent as a sign that he doesn't expect to be getting the workload he did last year. That means a small uptick in the fantasy values of Willis McGahee and Ray Rice and a downtick in McClain's.

The Associated Press reports Baltimore Ravens FB Le'Ron McClain rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in the team's Week 17 game.

The Huddle Take: McClain has come out of nowhere this year to become one of the top rushers for Baltimore. With Willis McGahee's status with the team up in the air for much of the year, McClain could end of being the undisputed starter for a Ravens team in 2009 that appears to be only getting better.
