The Star-Ledger reports New York Giants TE Kevin Boss (ankle) said his right ankle is 'tender' after re-injuring it Week 8. Boss appears to be in line to play Week 9.
The Huddle Take: Boss finally showed some signs of life this week, but was a bit banged up in the process. However, it would appear that he will not miss time - at least for the moment - and will be start worthy if necessary due to six teams on bye this week.

CBSSports.com reports New York Giants TE Kevin Boss was seen leaving the X-ray room following Week 7. Boss received a helmet-to-helmet hit late in the game and was slow to get to his feet.
The Huddle Take: Boss has been relegated to the back burner behind the Giants' trio of wideouts, so his blip on the fantasy radar is fading. If he's to miss any time due to injury, he'll fall completely off the radar.

CBSSports.com reports New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said he is not concerned with the play of TE Kevin Boss this season, even though Boss has recorded just six receptions thus far. Coughlin said Boss has been doing a good job as a blocker. 'We've done a real good job with protection and the tight ends are a part of that,' Coughlin said. The Giants have allowed just one sack this season.
The Huddle Take: There were high fantasy hopes for Boss coming into the 2009 season, but it appears that the Giants' coaching staff are valuing Boss' blocking skills more than his receiving. Look for Boss' production to be up and down this season depending on how much he's needed in pass protection each week.
