The Carolina Panthers are reportedly 'sold' on PK Justin Medlock after releasing veteran PK Olindo Mare. He is expected to be the team's starting kicker heading into Week 1.

Huddle Up: Don't believe the preseason spin. The Panthers will be sold when Medlock actually connects on some clutch kicks in the contests that count. Medlock has exactly one game of NFL experience, booting a single field goal in 2007 with the Chiefs, and he shouldn't be counted on fantasy-wise until he develops more of a resume.
