Jeff McLane, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles TE Brent Celek was held out of the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 20, as a precaution.
The Huddle Take: Celek is nursing a sore shoulder, and with two more fake games before the real ones start there was no need to risk further injury.

Correcting a previous item, Matt Gelb, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles TE Brent Celek partially separated his left shoulder during the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 13. Head coach Andy Reid said Celek would be fine in "a couple of days."
The Huddle Take: Sounds like this injury won't significantly slow Celek, but the Eagles already lost rookie Cornelius Ingram so they're not particularly deep at the position.

The Associated Press reports Philadelphia Eagles TE Brent Celek caught 10 passes for 83 yards with two touchdowns during the team's NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 18.
The Huddle Take: The 10 grabs is a Philly postseason record. Celek has been a standout during the Eagles' playoff run and should step nicely into the starting gig with L.J. Smith a free agent this offseason.
