The Green Bay Packers cut PK Zach Ramirez on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
Huddle Up: That means Mason Crosby will open his sixth straight season as the Packers' PK despite his 2012 struggles which saw him covert a career-low 63.6 percent of his FG attempts.

Green Bay Packers PK Mason Crosby connected on nine of his 10 field goals, winning a kicking period for the first time all camp in his battle against PK Giorgio Tavecchio Monday, Aug. 19. Tavecchio made eight of his 10 attempts, and he has hit 45 of 51 field goal attempts in practice/scrimmages, while Crosby has made 41 of 51. The team plans to continue the kicking competition for at least another week.
Huddle Up: The Packers put up a ton of points, so whomever wins the kicker battle will have some fantasy value. Crosby was brutal last season, so he'll need to prove he's still got it or Green Bay fans will have to learn how to pronounce "Tavecchio".

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said the team is sticking with PK Mason Crosby. "When results aren't what you want, you have to choose which way to go. Our choice is to stick with Crosby," McCarthy said.
Huddle Up: The Pack may be sticking with Crosby, who's missed 12 of 29 fieled-gal attempts, but fantasy teams outside of 32-team leagues shouldn't be.
