Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (undisclosed) suffered an unspecified injury in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins and is expected to land on the Reserve/Injured list, according to Steven Holder of The Athletic.

Huddle Up: In what has been a brutal year at the tight end position in fantasy, Doyle's likely absence is just another gut punch. His absence frees up Eric Ebron to become a full-time player again after thriving while Doyle was out with a hip injury from Week 3 through Week 9. Ebron could push Zach Ertz and Travis Kelce to be the overall TE1 in fantasy as a result.

  • Posted: 11/25/2018 7:34pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle caught all four of his targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 12.

Huddle Up: With Eric Ebron emerging as one of Andrew Lucks favorite targets, Doyle has become a touchdown-dependent gamble for fantasy owners looking for tight end help.

  • Posted: 10/28/2018 6:14pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) played for the first time since Week 2, finishing with six catches for a team-high 70 yards and a touchdown in a 42-28 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Doyle didn't miss a beat in his return. Eric Ebron's presence in the red zone probably isn't going away, but Andrew Luck has been feeding his tight ends all year, and Doyle offers enough upside in the yardage department to be used as a TE1.

  • Posted: 10/26/2018 10:41am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) is expected to play in Week 8 against the Oakland Raiders.

Huddle Up: Doyle returned to practice in a limited fashion earlier this week after being sidelined since Week 2. As one of Andrew luck's favorite targets, his return figures to severely dent the fantasy value of Eric Ebron, who has flourished as a full-time player during Doyle's absence. At a fantasy position that possesses so few players with upside, the argument can be made to reinsert Doyle back into lineups immediately. When healthy and right, he is a mid-to-low-end TE1.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 12:49pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Doyle still has a chance to play in Week 8 but may be a game-time decision. He is usually a No. 1 fantasy tight end when he plays, but owners will need other options ready in case he is ruled out.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 3:30pm ET

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Huddle Up: Doyle appears to have a chance to play this week as long as he does not suffer a setback. He could have a favorable matchup if he plays and can be considered a No. 1 fantasy tight end.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 9:54am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) will practice Wednesday, Oct. 24, and could return in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Eric Ebron saw a ton of targets with Doyle and T.Y. Hilton out, but he has seven catches for 102 yards and a score the last two weeks on 14 targets. That will take another hit if Doyle returns. The time to sell high on Ebron may have passed. Doyle won't be an every-week start, but he should be on rosters.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 1:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: Doyle probably will miss at least one more game and is still considered week-to-week. Eric Ebron should continue to serve as the main tight end for the Colts and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 1:23pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was unable to take part in practice on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Doyle has been sidelined since Week 2 due to his hip injury, meaning more reps for Erik Swoope behind Eric Ebron. When Doyle returns, he is likely to see limited targets with Ebron playing pretty well.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 10:30am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was held out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Doyle has not progressed in weeks and doesn't appear to be ready to play this week either. Eric Ebron has been tearing up the gridiron in Ebron's absence and deserves TE1 recognition.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 1:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: Doyle is not expected to play this week and is considered week-to-week. Owners in all leagues should avoid all Colts tight ends.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 5:39pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) is not expected to play in the Week 6 game.

Huddle Up: Doyle is considered week-to-week, so owners will need to continue to monitor his progress. Eric Ebron is also dealing with injuries, so owners probably should avoid all Colts tight ends.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 9:29am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) is still week to week, head coach Frank Reich said Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: Eric Ebron had a career game in Doyle's absence last week, which may give the team more caution in handling Doyle. Ebron is a midrange TE1 in his stead.

  • Posted: 10/2/2018 1:44pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) remained at the Colts' walk-through Tuesday, Oct. 2. Doyle's status is an estimation of his practice participation.

Huddle Up: It is likely that Doyle will either be a game-time call or just be ruled out altogether. If the latter is the case then Eric Ebron once again has to be included in the TE1 conversation. Andrew Luck has looked his way 21 times over the last two games.

  • Posted: 10/1/2018 1:36pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was not able to practice Monday, Oct. 1.

Huddle Up: It's a short week, so Doyle faces an uphill battle. If he can't play then Eric Ebron once again holds TE1 value after a five-catch, 40-yard, one-touchdown outing in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/28/2018 10:19am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) has been ruled out for Week 4 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: All indications are that Doyle is week-to-week, which robs Andrew Luck of one of his favorite targets. His absence opens up more looks for Eric Ebron, who turned 11 targets against the Philadelphia Eagles last week into five catches for 33 yards. Owners in leagues with limited bench space can probably consider cutting Doyle, but most should sit tight. He's the clear second option at worst for an offense that is throwing short more than just about any team so far this season.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 12:57pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TEs Jack Doyle (hip) was held out of practice Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Andrew Luck likes his tight ends, but Doyle hasn't been healthy for the last couple weeks. He's the better play of him and Eric Ebron, but if Doyle can't play again then Ebron will be a viable starting fantasy tight end.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 1:38pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Huddle Up: Doyle is battling a hip injury and he was sidelined for the Week 3 game in Philadelphia. Even when he is healthy his fantasy ceiling is rather limited as long as Eric Ebron is healthy and able to play.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 10:13am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was labeled 'week-to-week' by head coach Frank Reich during his presser on Friday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: Reich told reporters Doyle suffered the injury in the second quarter of last week's game and credited his toughness for being able to play through it, suggesting Reich might not be engaging in coach-speak by calling the injury "week-to-week." Eric Ebron will likely see more targets as a result, which should solidify him as a mid-range TE1 in fantasy during Doyle's absence.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 8:52am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) missed practice again Friday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: Look for Eric Ebron to have an impact this week against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles present a decent matchup for Ebron. If you're looking for a one-week banger, Ebron is an option to scoop and start.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 11:00am ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) remained out of practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Eric Ebron has already been playing well with Doyle on the field, but Doyle's absence would propel him into fringe TE1 territory. Keep an eye on Doyle this weekend, but you can do worse than starting Ebron.

  • Posted: 9/19/2018 3:28pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Huddle Up: Doyle has been a reliable target for Andrew Luck over the last few years but has only 80 yards over the first two games. Owners should keep an eye on his situation but could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end if he plays.

  • Posted: 9/17/2018 3:02pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle was praised for his run blocking in Week 2's win by head coach Frank Reich. Reich said it's the best he's ever seen Doyle block.

Huddle Up: That's not necessarily good for Doyle's fantasy prospects, but it does mean he'll be on the field for as long as he can handle. Eric Ebron is the main threat to Doyle's value, but Doyle is still part of the low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 conversation. He has averaged 7.5 targets over his first two games.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 1:36pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle posted two receptions for 20 yards on five targets in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Doyle's five targets were second-highest on the team, but he didn't do much with them. The presence of Eric Ebron, who scored for the second straight week, is also not good for Doyle's fantasy appeal. He remains more of a low-end TE2 in deeper leagues heading into Week 3 at Philadelphia.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 1:50pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle finished with seven receptions for a team-high 60 yards on 10 targets in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Andrew Luck looked to his tight ends early and often, distributing the ball 11 times to his tight ends out of his 39 completions. Doyle remains more of a TE2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 2 at Washington due to the presence of newcomer Eric Ebron, who scored in the opener.

  • Posted: 12/23/2017 4:46pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle caught five passes for 41 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Doyle has been targeted 18 times over the last two games and has posted 12 catches and 88 yards during that span. He should continue to be a big part of the passing game and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 10:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle had seven catches for 47 yards during the team's 25-13 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: Doyle has been up and down this season, leaving him as a risky fringe play from week to week. With 71 receptions on the season he's clearly a better option in PPR formats, though he can be deployed in standard leagues as a desperate roll of the dice as well.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 2:27pm ET

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle caught two passes for four yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

Huddle Up: Doyle was targeted close to the end zone during the game and was able to record his third touchdown of the season. He had a solid role in the passing game this season and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues in Week 15.
