New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas said head coach Sean Payton wants more focus on the running game this season. 'There's going to be more focus this year on that ground game than any year. He said we've got to get back to running the ball, having 100-yard games non-stop. I can't wait. I'm excited and I know everybody else is excited,' Payton said.

Huddle Up: The Saints were a pass-first team with a four-headed RBBC in 2012, but with Chris Ivory traded to the Jets, it makes things more manageable fantasy-wise with Thomas and Mark Ingram as the top 2 RBs and Darren Sproles once again returning as the pass-catching threat out of the backfield.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Huddle Up: While Mark Ingram has been the Saints' top rusher of late, Thomas is coming off his best receiving game (7-61, TD) of the season. It's early in the week, so see if the RB is able to give it a go over the next few days.

Huddle Up: Mark Ingram was getting some love as a sneaky option with Thomas injured, but it looks like the latter will be active this week.
