New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas had 14 carries for 91 yards with a rushing touchdown Week 8. He also caught two passes for nine receiving yards with a receiving touchdown in the game.

The Huddle Take: Thomas put the ball on the ground on a crucial third down carry in the second half, then gave way to Mike Bell, who's become the bane of Thomas owners everywhere. But Thomas was able to bounce back, get back in the game, and score on the swing pass from Brees in the fourth quarter. Thomas made the most out of his oppportunities , but he'll probably continue to share time with Bell, who actually had more carries (17) against the Falcons.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16. He is listed as probable for Week 6.

The Huddle Take: Thomas should be fine, but it's likely he'll lose some carries to Mike Bell, who is once again fully healthy.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said RB Pierre Thomas' (hamstring) hamstring injury has been a lingering issue but is not expected to be serious.

The Huddle Take: The week off surely aided this situation and Thomas looked very good in his first two games back from injury. We'll keep an eye on this situation, but for now it appears to be all systems go for Thomas.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) participated in practice Friday, Sept. 25. He is listed probable for Week 3 and will play.

The Huddle Take: This is Thomas' prime chance to regain his hold on the Saints' No. 1 RB slot, which has been seriously threatened by the emergence of Mike Bell while Thomas nursed a sprained knee. Now, ironically, the tables have been turned as Bell will miss the game with the same injury.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The Huddle Take: Finally some good news for the Saints as running back Pierre Thomas practiced in full and is likely to start in Week 3. With the injury to Mike Bell, fantasy owners should expect an increase in carries for Thomas who will likely share the backfield with Reggie Bush.

The Associated Press reports New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) played in the team's Week 2 game, but he was held to one catch for a loss of four yards. He did not receive a carry in the game.

The Huddle Take: Despite the limited action in Week 2, Pierre Thomas at least got back on the field and should practice next week in advance of the teams Week 3 matchup. It appears that the talented running back may be returning at just the right time as Mike Bell sustained a knee injury this week and will be evaluated further on Monday.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 18. He is listed as questionable for Week 2 and will be a game-time decision.

The Huddle Take: The injury to Pierre Thomas's knee seems to be lingering and will likely keep him out of the lineup once again in Week 2. Even if by some chance he does play it should be on a limited basis with the team also using Mike Bell and Reggie Bush. Thomas is certainly a workhorse type runner and should carry more of a workload in the Saints running attack once he has fully recovered from his injury and begins practicing normally again.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) said he participated in practice without pain Wednesday, Sept. 16 and will play in Week 2. Thomas wore a big brace on his knee during practice and had it wrapped with ice after.

The Huddle Take: Fantasy owners should keep an eye on this situation throughout the week as Thomas will likely be limited even if he does play in Week 2. With Mike Bell running well in relief last week, it would certainly not be a surprise if Bell still ended up with more carries until Thomas proves he is completely healed from his knee injury.

The Associated Press reports New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) is expected to return for the team's Week 2 game.

The Huddle Take: The good news is he's back. The bad news is that Mike Bell played so well in Week 1, he's likely to see a lot of action against the Eagles this week. You should consider looking in another direction for your No. 2 back if you have Thomas, at least until you know for sure he can put up numbers and Bell won't poach too many of his opportunities.

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 11, and has been ruled out for the team's Week 1 game.

The Huddle Take: Expect the carries to be split between Reggie Bush and Mike Bell in Week 1 with Pierre Thomas getting an extra week to continue rehabbing his knee in anticipation of a return in Week 2. Check back next week to make sure of Thomas' status before inserting him back into your fantasy lineup.
