Huddle Up: The Patriots obviously settled on Josh Gordon, but his status is such that Beckham could easily be a target of theirs again in 2019. While Gordon may be able to return again at some point in 2019, New England knows it can't count on him for any length of time. The Patriots' biggest need may be an outside receiver, and the prospect of playing the next two to three years with Tom Brady could be too tantalizing for the team to pass up if they are willing to pay the price to get Beckham.

Huddle Up: Beckham has led a tenuous tenure during his stay in New York. He has performed well on the field, but his polarizing off-field life, injuries and the Giants' failures have spawned trade whispers. Gettleman has abruptly silenced those whispers, but Beckham is an elite wide receiver wherever he plays as long as he's in good health.

Huddle Up: Sterling Shepard came on strong last week and will be a WR3 option against a Dallas Cowboys squad with little to play for.

Huddle Up: Sterling Shepard came on strong last week and will be a WR3 option against the Dallas Cowboys.
-
Posted: 12/27/2018 9:23am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham still has a chance to play this week, but the odds lessen as the week advances without him practicing. He's the kind of player who could take the field without practicing, but the Giants want to keep his long-term health in mind too. As for next year, he remains a top-tier WR1 despite the injury setback.
-

Huddle Up: Owners should know more about Beckham's status in the next few days. He is a must-start option when he is healthy, but owners will need other options available if he is ruled out.
-

Huddle Up: There is time, but don't expect OBJ in the finale. Sterling Shepard had a 6-113-0 day last week and could be worth a flyer against a Dallas Cowboys team that is locked into the fourth seed.
-
Posted: 12/21/2018 9:04am ET
Huddle Up: This will be the third straight game OBJ has missed, and for all intents and purposes, it likely also means the end of his season with the 5-9 Giants having nothing on the line. Meanwhile, it's another on-paper fantasy bump for WR Sterling Shepard and TE Evan Engram as the Giants try to rebound from their Week 15 home shutout loss to the Tennessee Titans.
-
Posted: 12/21/2018 8:32am ET
Huddle Up: He's unlikely to play this week, maybe next week as well. Sterling Shepard would figure to be the benefactor, but he has caught two balls in each of the past two weeks. There's no one worth starting outside of Evan Engram or Saquon Barkley
-
Posted: 12/20/2018 9:12am ET
Huddle Up: At this point it would be a surprise if Beckham took the field this weekend. The Giants don't need to rush back their star wide receiver in a lost season. If Beckham does sit then Sterling Shepard possesses WR3 value in a tough matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
-
Posted: 12/19/2018 12:18pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham is dealing with a nagging quad injury and faces a really tough matchup against the Indianapolis Colts if he is able to play. It's not a recipe you want to try in championship contests, but it's hard to bench a player with as high a ceiling as Beckham's. For now, keep tabs on his progress or lack thereof over the next couple days.
-
Posted: 12/19/2018 9:02am ET
Huddle Up: There is little reason for OBJ to play the final two games, but the team maintains they aren't shutting him down yet. Plan accordingly for him to be unavailable.
-
Posted: 12/17/2018 9:59am ET
Huddle Up: The holiday season is almost always good for some curious personnel decisions, and this would be one of them. Unless Beckham is 100 percent recovered by next weekend, it makes little sense for the Giants to risk further injuring their top receiver when they have already been eliminated from the playoff race and can do nothing but hurt themselves in terms of worsening their potential draft spot. Owners should not expect him to play and be pleasantly surprised if he does.
-
Posted: 12/14/2018 9:18am ET
Huddle Up: The timing has been nothing short of brutal for OBJ owners after the somewhat-mysterious injury suddenly cropped up only a week ago in practice on Friday, Dec. 7, and the stud WR was ruled out a day later. WR Sterling Shepard led the team with six targets a week ago (catching only two for 17 yards) and will be a flex/WR2 consideration Sunday vs. the Titans.
-
Posted: 12/13/2018 7:35am ET
Huddle Up: OBJ's status is in question this week, but he's an obvious start if he's fit to play.
-
Posted: 12/12/2018 1:32pm ET
Huddle Up: If Beckham can maintain his limited status or increase to a full practice then he should be fine for Week 15. If he's active, you're starting him. If he's not, Sterling Shepard should be started.
-
Posted: 12/10/2018 9:53am ET
Huddle Up: Head coach Pat Shurmur offered only a "we'll see where that takes us" answer when asked about what Beckham's recovery means for Week 15. It seems likely he'll suit up, and he'll return to high-end fantasy WR1 status if he does against a vulnerable Tennessee Titans pass defense.
-
Posted: 12/8/2018 10:59am ET
Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Beckham will only miss one game because of the injury. Sterling Shepard probably will be the top receiver for the Giants in Week 14 and could be No. 3 receiver or flex option.
-
Posted: 12/8/2018 10:06am ET
Huddle Up: Sterling Shepard, Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram likely will see more targets in the passing game with Beckham out. Barkley and Engram should be starting options in all leagues, while Shepard can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option.
-
Posted: 12/7/2018 1:12pm ET
Huddle Up: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Beckham is in any danger of missing the Week 14 game. He should be considered a No. 1 fantasy receiver if he is active for the game.
-
Posted: 12/2/2018 7:19pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham salvaged his worst performance of the year in terms of catches and receiving yards with a pair of scores, and his big-play ability and heavy usage continue to pay dividends for fantasy owners.
-
Posted: 11/25/2018 5:13pm ET
Huddle Up: It wasn't Beckham's biggest performance, but he still topped 70 receiving yards for the fifth game in a row and saw at least nine targets for the 10th time in 11 games. His steady workload gives him a safe floor and WR1 potential against every opponent.
-
Posted: 11/18/2018 5:43pm ET
Huddle Up: After a slow start by his standards, Beckham has topped 70 receiving yards in four straight games, averaging 106.5 yards over that span. As bad as the Giants have been, Beckham is still doing his WR1 thing.
-
Posted: 11/12/2018 8:37pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham doubled his touchdown total for the season in this game and was targeted at least 10 times for the seventh straight game. He will continue to be the main focus in the passing game and should be a No. 1 receiver in all leagues in Week 11.
-
Posted: 10/28/2018 3:05pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has been targeted at least nine times in every game this season and has posted five 100-yard games during that span. He is one of the top fantasy receivers in the NFL and should be a weekly starting option in all leagues.
-
Posted: 10/23/2018 1:01am ET
Huddle Up: Despite seeing his real-life team drop to a depressing 1-6, Beckham at least provided plenty of happiness for fantasy teams by logging a season-high 143 yards to go with his second touchdown of the campaign. He's a no-brainer WR1 every week, no matter the matchup.
-
Posted: 10/22/2018 8:30pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has scored a touchdown in two of his past three games and he has six or more receptions in five consecutive outings, and six of seven contests overall. The offense has been shaky overall, but he continues to post solid fantasy numbers. The Giants host the Redskins in Week 8.
-
Posted: 10/16/2018 9:03am ET
Huddle Up: OBJ's fantasy owners would like to see more out of the wideout as well as he's fourth in targets (69) and receptions (45) but is tied for 23rd in total fantasy points after six games. Still even with the slow start and the struggles of QB Eli Manning, Beckham projects as a sold WR1 going forward, so don't panic and give him away for too little in a trade.
-
Posted: 10/12/2018 5:19am ET
Huddle Up: It could help explain his slow night, but he has underwhelmed in the offense this season. It might be time to start sending out feelers on the trade market because he carries enough name value that you could still get a sizable return.
-
Posted: 10/11/2018 8:47pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham is still piling up catches, but big plays have been in short supply this season. His heavy workload should continue to give him a safe floor, but you shouldn't expect elite production from him on a weekly basis.
-
Posted: 10/7/2018 5:28pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham's pass to Barkley traveled 24 yards in the air, the longest pass through the air on a score by the Giants since QB Eli Manning hit Beckham on a TD in Week 5 last season. He can be a bit abrasive in his off-field comments, but there's no denying his talent when he is in between the lines. The Giants host the Eagles in Week 6 on Thursday night.
-
Posted: 9/30/2018 9:05pm ET
Huddle Up: It wasn't a terrible showing, but facing a New Orleans defense that had been shredded this season, Beckham seemed primed for a bigger performance. The reception and yardage totals have been solid, but Beckham's lack of touchdowns is capping his upside.
-
Posted: 9/27/2018 6:55pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham ranks 12th in the NFL in receiving yards heading into Week 4, so it is not like he has been struggling. The big plays should start to come as he puts last year's broken ankle further and further behind him, and he remains a weekly WR1.
-
Posted: 9/23/2018 2:29pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has posted a 100-yard game in two of the first three weeks and has been targeted at least nine times in all three games. He should continue to be on of the top fantasy receivers in the NFL.
-
Posted: 9/9/2018 2:56pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham probably had the hardest matchup this week as he was being covered by Jalen Ramsey but was able to finish with terrific numbers. He will continue to be a No. 1 receiver in all leagues.
-
Posted: 9/8/2018 7:00pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has put up huge numbers since entering the league, so it is no surprise that he could set some records along the way. A Week 1 matchup against a tough Jacksonville defense limits his DFS appeal, but he has too much upside to even consider benching in season-long formats.
-
Posted: 9/4/2018 11:35pm ET
Huddle Up: Shurmur didn't exactly said he would use Beckham, he should indicated there's no reason he "can't." Fantasy owners could probably think of a few, but no matter what Shurmur says it's hard to imagine him exposing Beckham on returns very often. Steady on, folks, Beckham remains an elite fantasy WR.
-
Posted: 8/27/2018 11:20am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has been one of the top receivers in the NFL since entering the league and will continue to be a focal point on offense for the Giants. He should be one of the first receivers selected in all drafts and will be a weekly starting option.
-
Posted: 8/27/2018 10:28am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham participated in training camp despite his contract situation and it appears that he will be rewarded with a big extension. He is one of the top receivers in the NFL when he is healthy and should be a No. 1 fantasy receiver in all leagues.
-
Posted: 8/23/2018 4:07pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham probably would become the highest paid receiver if he agrees to a deal within the next few weeks. He should be one of the most valuable receivers in fantasy leagues this season and will be selected in the first or second rounds of all drafts.
-
Posted: 8/9/2018 11:43am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham may only see playing time in the third preseason game, but he does not want to risk things while still looking for a long-term deal. He will be one of the first receivers selected in all drafts and likely will go in the first or second round.
-
Posted: 8/6/2018 10:31am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has been participating in practices even though he has not received a long-term deal, but it appears he could receive one in the near future. He is one of the top receivers in the NFL when healthy and will be selected in the first or second round of fantasy drafts.
-
Posted: 8/4/2018 12:53pm ET
Huddle Up: Beckham had an eventful offseason, as he experienced a 10-month rehab, trade rumors and then there are contract talks and his statements about wanting to be the highest paid receiver in the game. He is scheduled to make $8.5 million this season, and he could have a giant season with money as a motivating factor. Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown is earning $17 million average per season on a four-year deal. As long as his ankle is 100 percent - and there is no reason to believe it's not - OBJ is one of the best receivers in the game. The addition of a strong run game with rookie Saquon Barkley could actually open things up for the pass game, too.
-
Posted: 8/2/2018 5:27am ET
Huddle Up: OBJ could wind up the highest-scoring player in fantasy in any given year. There is enough talent around him to keep defenses busy if Eli Manning can get him the ball. Feel secure with him as your top wideout.
-
Posted: 7/26/2018 7:19pm ET
Huddle Up: Moving Beckham inside more often should lead to some more catches and more opportunities for him to make big plays after the catch. He's already a top-three fantasy option at his position, but it's encouraging to hear that the coaching staff is willing to be a little creative with how Beckham is deployed.
-
Posted: 7/26/2018 10:01am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham has had his issues on and off the field, but he deserves to be one of the highest paid wide receivers in the NFL. If he can focus on this year and what he does on the field, he's a top-three fantasy wide receiver candidate.
-
Posted: 7/25/2018 10:27am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham only played in four games last season due to a fractured ankle. With a healthy ankle and healthy mindset, Beckham is one of the most elite wide receivers on the planet and worthy of a first-round pick in all formats.
-
Posted: 7/23/2018 9:24am ET
Huddle Up: Beckham is still looking for a long-term contract but will continue to play while the situation works itself out. He is one of the top receivers in the NFL when he is healthy and will be a No. 1 fantasy receiver in all fantasy leagues.
-
Posted: 7/10/2018 10:13am ET
Huddle Up: The Giants still have the small matter of resolving Beckham's contract situation, as it appears the two sides could be headed toward a showdown. Assuming he is on the field and can stay healthy this season, Beckham should be drafted as a top-five receiver with the upside to lead his position in fantasy scoring.
-
Posted: 6/20/2018 7:53pm ET
Huddle Up: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if any progress is made between Beckham and the Giants. He is a No. 1 fantasy receiver when he is on the field and will be selected in one of the first few rounds of drafts.
