Updating previous reports, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Donte Moncrief signed a one-year, $9.6 million deal with $2 million in potential incentives. The contract is fully guaranteed.

Huddle Up: Moncrief scored touchdowns in bunches, but he has yet to show he can be a reliable fantasy contributor. He's worth the WR4 flyer.

  • Posted: 3/13/2018 1:54pm ET

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent WR Donte Moncrief plans to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to source.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has been held to under 400 yards in each of the last two seasons but does have nine touchdowns during that span. He probably will be the No. 3 receiver for the Jaguars next season and could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 3/8/2018 8:07pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief 'isn't likely' to be re-signed by the club, according to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star, as 'all current indications' point to the two sides 'parting ways for good' after the free-agent market opens up on Wednesday, March 14.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has exhibited flashes of extraordinary potential since being selected in 2014, but the former third-round draft pick has largely been ineffective the last two seasons, mostly due to injuries and the Colts' woes at quarterback with Andrew Luck sidelined. He could easily blossom into a WR3 again elsewhere, so it'll be worth watching where he ends up.

  • Posted: 3/6/2018 7:36am ET

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent WR Donte Moncrief has been linked to the Baltimore Ravens, who are revamping their receiving corps.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has been a sleeper for a couple of years, but he has never put it together or avoided injuries. He'll remain a lukewarm WR3 or WR4 flyer.

  • Posted: 2/4/2018 11:33am ET

The Indianapolis Colts could consider offering impending free-agent WR Donte Moncrief a short-term deal where he would have to prove his value, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Mike Wells.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has been limited to 21 games over the last two seasons because of injuries and posted only two touchdowns this season. He could receive some interest from teams during free agency but may not be a starting receiver in 2018. He has played well at times during his career but should be considered a No. 4 fantasy receiver next season.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 2:17pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.

Huddle Up: Moncrief may be a game-time decision in Week 17, so owners can check the inactive list for his status. He has not been a big factor in the passing game this season and can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 1:57pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has not played since early December and his status for Week 17 is uncertain at this point. He has posted at least 50 yards in only three of his 12 games this season and probably should be avoided by owners.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 1:17pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: It's uncertain if Moncrief will be able to play in the regular season finale against Houston, but it is clear that he has fantasy appeal only in the deepest formats. He has just 26 grabs for 391 yards and two scores this season. It has been a lost year for Moncrief, who has one or no catches across four of his five outings.

  • Posted: 12/11/2017 3:11pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (ankle) did not participate in practice Monday, Dec. 11.

Huddle Up: Moncrief is considered week-to-week and probably will not be able to play in Week 15. Chester Rogers likely will have a bigger role in the offense but can be avoided because of the tough matchup.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 8:05pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Chester Rogers could see increased snaps against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14 with WR Donte Moncrief (ankle) ruled out, according to Andrew Walker of Colts.com.

Huddle Up: Rogers has just 18 catches on the year, so even with Moncrief out, he is no more than a Hail Mary-play in DFS contests.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 2:58pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: Moncrief was able to play in Week 13 despite the injury, so he has a chance to play this week. He was targeted eight times last week but probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues in Week 14.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 7:15pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief was good for five receptions and 37 yards on his eight targets in Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Moncrief, who was listed as questionable due to a groin injury, actually matched a season best with the five receptions and eight targets. He has been a big disappointment and remains nothing more than a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 9:26am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (groin) is active for Week 13's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Moncrief was listed as questionable on the injury report but was able to participate fully in practice Friday, Dec. 1. He has been targeted just seven times over the last four games and has one reception or fewer in each of those contests, so he should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 2:02pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 1, but is listed as questionable for Week 13.

Huddle Up: Moncrief probably will be active for the Week 13 game, but owners should check the inactive list to make sure. He has been targeted only seven times over the last four games and will be facing a tough Jacksonville Jaguars pass defense. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/30/2017 1:05pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (groin) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 30.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has not played well at all this year and the Colts are facing the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL in the Jacksonville Jaguars. You'll only start him if you want to help your opponent win.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 3:15pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief ended up with one catch for 16 yards in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has one or no catches in each of the past four outings. He was a dependable fantasy option in the past, but he clearly isn't on the same page with Jacoby Brissett, who has targeted the receiver just seven times during the span. Avoid in all leagues in Week 13 at Jacksonville.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 3:18pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief was limited to just one catch for seven yards on two targets in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has been a huge disappointment this season. It was understandable he would get off to a slow start adjusting to a new quarterback, but Jacoby Brissett has been somewhat effective lately and the two just have no rapport. Moncrief cannot be trusted by any fantasy owners at the moment.

  • Posted: 10/31/2017 8:28am ET

The Indianapolis Colts have received phone calls on WR Donte Moncrief and are willing to trade the receiver, according to team sources.

Huddle Up: Speculation had WR T.Y. Hilton leaving Indy at the deadline, but the team likes his contract and production and may be willing to keep him. Moncrief has been a big fantasy disappointment this season and is no better than a WR5 in most leagues, so you may want to look elsewhere.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 6:18pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief was targeted just once in the Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he did not have any receptions.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has been a huge disappointment for the Colts and fantasy owners. It's worth noting that the team is open to dealing T.Y. Hilton at the trade deadline on Tuesday, so perhaps Moncrief would see a larger role in the offense is that occurs. Still, right now he is nothing more than a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 3:46pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief racked up two receptions for 30 yards on four targets in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Moncrief's stat lines continue to be underwhelming and he should be used as nothing more than a low-end WR4 or flex play heading into Week 8 against the Bengals.

  • Posted: 10/13/2017 8:47pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief said he'd like to remain with the team next season but isn't worried about his impending free agency.

Huddle Up: Wherever Moncrief ends up next year, he will likely need a strong quarterback to produce relevant numbers. He has barely been involved in the offense this year, managing just 11 catches through five games. Until Andrew Luck returns, he isn't worth starting.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 7:36pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief posted three catches for just 32 yards on his three targets in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has been limited to 44 or fewer receiving yards, and he has been targeted exactly three times in each of the past three games. He appears to be 100 percent healthy, but he just doesn't seem to have the same rapport with Jacoby Brissett like T.Y. Hilton has developed.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 9:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief posted three grabs for 30 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Huddle Up: The season hasn't exactly gone Moncrief's way to date, but this game marked his most receptions and his first touchdown. Perhaps this performance against a tough defense will get him going. He faces a favorable matchup in Week 5 against the 49ers, but he is still worthy of fantasy consideration only as a WR4 in deeper leagues for now.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 2:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief posted two receptions for 44 yards on three targets in Week 3 against the Browns.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has managed just five receptions on 16 targets while totaling 112 yards and no scores. His production has been troubling for fantasy owners to date. He remains nothing more than a WR4 or flex play in deeper fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 at Seattle.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 7:30pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief had one catch for 50 yards in a 46-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Moncrief's status as the No. 2 receiver in Indy doesn't mean much when Scott Tolzien is providing horrible quarterback play. Moncrief is worth holding on your bench, but he shouldn't be starting until Andrew Luck is back under center.

  • Posted: 8/23/2017 9:04am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) has reportedly been wearing a non-contact jersey since returning to practice on Aug. 9.

Huddle Up: There has not been any hint of concern about Moncrief's availability for Week 1, so owners can treat this as the Colts playing it safe for now. The bigger concern should be Andrew Luck's continued absence from practice, as much of Moncrief's breakout appeal is tied to his quarterback. As long as Luck is sidelined, Moncrief will be tough to consider as anything more than a low-end WR3.

  • Posted: 8/17/2017 4:44pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is still limited to only individual drills even though he returned to practice last week.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has scored 13 touchdowns over the last two seasons but was limited by injuries in 2016 and is injured again during training camp. He is a risky option for fantasy owners because of his injury history but can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver because of touchdown potential.

  • Posted: 8/9/2017 5:20am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) returned to practice Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has a knack for the end zone as he has scored 13 times in the last two seasons. Inconsistency and durability are concerns, but he's a WR3 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 8/8/2017 5:34am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) remains out of practice Tuesday, Aug. 8.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has 13 touchdowns in the last two seasons and is a perennial breakout candidate. He's a WR3 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 8/6/2017 2:49pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) has a very good chance of participating in practice Tuesday, Aug. 8, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Huddle Up: Moncrief suffered the injury last week but probably will return to practice at some point this week. He was limited to nine games last season because of injury but was still able to catch seven touchdowns. He should be a starter for the Colts this season and can be a No. 3 fantasy receiver.

  • Posted: 8/4/2017 8:10am ET

Updating an earlier report, Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (shoulder) is dealing with a mild AC joint sprain in his shoulder, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has 13 scores over the last two seasons, but inconsistency and the injury bug have plagued him. An AC joint is usually a painful one that can be overcome, or it could be a six-week issue. The team will likely be cautious with him for the next couple of weeks, and he could be ready for the third or final preseason game. He's a WR3 with significant upside if he can stay on the field.

  • Posted: 8/4/2017 7:13am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief (undisclosed) is out of practice Friday, Aug. 4, after he left the previous day's practice with an undisclosed ailment.

Huddle Up: He has a knack for reaching the end zone with 13 scores the last two years, but his inconsistency and questionable health keeps him in the WR3 area.

  • Posted: 7/31/2017 6:44am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief has caught everything thrown at him the last two days of practice, according to beat writer Zak Keefer.

Huddle Up: Moncrief has caught 13 touchdowns the last two seasons, and he could take the next step this season. He's a WR3 candidate.

  • Posted: 7/21/2017 9:16pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief was the star of spring practices, according to general manager Chris Ballard.

Huddle Up: Injuries derailed Moncrief last season, but if he and Andrew Luck both stay healthy, he could be in for a big year. He is worth the gamble when you start thinking about WR3 options.

  • Posted: 5/10/2017 6:45am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief wants more yards after catch after his 2.5 yards after catch ranked 106th of 119 qualified receivers last season, according to Pro Football Focus. Moncrief has just one game of 75 or more yards in his last 23 games.

Huddle Up: Moncrief was a breakout candidate last season but ultimately fizzled and got hurt. The fourth-year receiver is playing for a contract, and now is as good of a time as any to have that breakout. He has 13 touchdowns in 25 games the last two years and could be a low-end WR3 or a high-end WR4.

  • Posted: 5/9/2017 12:25pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief wants to increase his yards after the catch this season, whether that's by getting into space or moving around the formation.

Huddle Up: Moncrief had just 58 yards after the catch on 30 receptions last year. He did only play in nine games, though. As stated earlier, the third-year receiver is best drafted as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3.

  • Posted: 5/9/2017 11:23am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Donte Moncrief has already caught the eye of new wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal. Lal said Moncrief is a "piece of clay" with all of the tools to be one of the better receivers in the NFL.

Huddle Up: Coaches are obligated to talk up their players during the offseason, for what it's worth. Moncrief missed significant time last season with a fractured shoulder, but he was supremely efficient in finding the end zone, scoring six times in his last seven games. Moncrief is a viable low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 option.
