Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz has been placed on the Reserve/Retired list. Fiedorowicz suffered multiple concussions in his NFL career.

Huddle Up: With Fiedorowicz gone, Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson figure to be more involved in 2018. The Texans implemented a committee approach in 2017 and could do the same this year. That being said, neither Griffin nor Anderson is a viable weekly TE1.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz plans to attend the offseason workouts even though he has said he is considering retirement.

Huddle Up: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Fiedorowicz decides to continue his playing career. He has posted decent numbers in the past but probably should be avoided in most leagues even if he plays.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz said he is considering retirement after suffering three concussions in 2017. He is also considering sitting out the 2018 season and coming back later.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to monitor the situation during the offseason to see if Fiedorowicz will play in 2018. He was a decent option for fantasy owners when he was healthy this season, but owners in most leagues probably should look for other options in their drafts.

After suffering at least his fourth concussion over the last two seasons, Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) could be forced to retire at the age of 26, according to multiple sources.

Huddle Up: Even if Fiedorowicz wanted to continue playing, there is no assurance that he would be able to pass the team physical. TE Stephen Anderson is Houston's starter at the position now but he is not a great fantasy option.

Houston Texans WR Bruce Ellington (hamstring) and TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) were placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Huddle Up: Braxton Miller and Stephen Anderson stand to benefit most from the misfortune of Miller and Fiedorowicz. Both players are coming off solid outings and are worth a look as flex options in a favorable matchup versus the San Francisco 49ers. Anderson in particular isn't a bad waiver wire pickup for those who own Rob Gronkowski and/or Zach Ertz.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (head) left the team's Week 13 game and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz missed most of the first half of the season because of a concussion, so the Texans probably will be cautious with him. Stephen Anderson likely would take over as the starter if Fiedorowicz misses time but is not a great fantasy option.

  • Posted: 11/27/2017 9:01pm ET

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz caught four passes for 37 yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz received a season-high eight targets against the Ravens but has only eight catches in the three games since being activated from the Reserve/Injured list. He should be considered a No. 2 tight end in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 6:35pm ET

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz posted two receptions for 18 yards on two targets in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz has two grabs in each of his two games since coming back from injury, but he needs to do a little more before fantasy owners can trust him again. The Texans travel to meet the Ravens in Week 12 on Monday night.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz will receive a lot of playing time against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz has spent most of the season on the Reserve/Injured list but should have a role in the passing game this week. He could be a reliable target for Tom Savage during the game, which makes him a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end in deeper leagues.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) has a good chance to play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10, according to head coach Bill O'Brien. Fiedorowicz has been practicing since last week and is one of the players designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz will be joining one of the better passing games in the NFL and should receive some targets when he returns. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 tight end in most leagues.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 25, and may be one of the players designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz has been sidelined since Week 1 but could return in a few weeks if he is activated from the Reserve/Injured list. He may take over the starting tight end job and could be a target for Deshaun Watson in the passing game. He can be at least a No. 2 fantasy tight end if he returns this season.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: Ryan Griffin will take over as the starting tight end once he returns from his own concussion. Fellow tight end Stephen Anderson will get some looks, too, but Griffin will be Houston's No. 1 tight end as long as he's healthy and deserves to be added for those who own/owned Fiedorowicz.

  • Posted: 9/11/2017 1:26pm ET

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) is not expected to play Thursday, Sept. 14, against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson are also in the concussion protocol and may not play, which means plenty of targets again for DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins had as many targets in Week 1 (16) as the rest of Houston's offense combined. Running backs Lamar Miller and Tyler Ervin should also be more involved in the passing game.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 12:25pm ET

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) suffered a concussion during the team's Week 1 game and has been ruled out.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz will need to pass his concussion tests before he is cleared to play, so he should be considered questionable for Week 2.

  • Posted: 9/6/2017 4:16pm ET

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (concussion) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz likely will be cleared to play in Week 1, but owners should check on his status later in the week. He should have a solid role in the passing game this season and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues in Week 1.

  • Posted: 8/31/2017 3:35pm ET

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with the Texans Thursday, Aug. 31. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: Fiedorowicz finished last season with 559 yards and four touchdowns and has a good chance to post similar numbers this season. Fiedorowicz can be a decent No. 2 tight end in most fantasy leagues.
