New England Patriots RB James White rushed twice for four yards and caught one pass for five yards in a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.

Huddle Up: After catching 15 passes in the division round, White wasn't part of the game plan in the Super Bowl. New England backs can be notoriously frustrating for fantasy owners, but White's role in the passing game should keep him in the flex conversation in PPR formats in 2019.

  • Posted: 1/20/2019 8:01pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed six times for 23 yards and caught four of his six targets for 49 yards in a 37-31 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 20.

Huddle Up: It was a relatively quiet game for White, but you only need to look back one week at his 15-catch performance against the Los Angeles Chargers for a reminder of the type of production he is capable of providing.

  • Posted: 1/13/2019 2:42pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White caught 15 passes for 97 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round playoff game.

Huddle Up: White has been one of the top running backs in point-per-reception leagues this season and will continue to be a main option in the passing game for the Patriots. He should be a No. 2 running back or flex option in all leagues next week.

  • Posted: 12/30/2018 1:44pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White caught four passes for 39 yards and one touchdown against the New York Jets in Week 17. He also rushed for 30 yards on four carries during the game.

Huddle Up: White has been involved in the running and passing game in every game this season and has recorded two touchdowns in the last two games. He should be considered a fine flex option in all playoff fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/23/2018 2:50pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown on eight carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 16. He also caught two passes for 13 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: White continues to be involved in the running and passing game but posted his first touchdown in six games against the Bills. He can be considered a flex option in all leagues next week against the New York Jets.

  • Posted: 12/18/2018 10:32am ET

New England RB James White needs to get the ball more often, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said Tuesday, Dec. 18. In games when White has had at least 13 rushing attempts/targets this season, the Patriots are 9-0 and 0-5 when he's had 12 or fewer.

Huddle Up: White has had two of his three worst rushes/targets games (eight and nine) of the season the last two weeks as the Pats fell at Miami and Pittsburgh, but expect more work out of White and the N.E. RBs with the Patriots heavy home favorites the next two Sundays against the Bills and Jets.

  • Posted: 12/16/2018 7:37pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White finished with two runs for 12 yards in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he had five receptions for 25 yards on seven targets.

Huddle Up: With Sony Michel healthy, White has been taking a backseat and his fantasy upside is rather limited. He should only be relied upon as a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 16 against the Bills.

  • Posted: 12/9/2018 1:26pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed for 13 yards on four carries against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14. He also caught two passes for 15 yards during the game.

Huddle Up: White received under 10 touches for only the fourth time this season and posted his second lowest yardage total of the season. He should receive more work next week and can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/2/2018 7:37pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed six times for 26 yards in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings and he added seven catches for a team-high 92 yards on nine targets.

Huddle Up: White's receiving yardage was actually his highest total since he had 115 yards on Dec. 6, 2015 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He'll look to keep up the good work in Week 14 on the road against the Miami Dolphins.

  • Posted: 11/25/2018 5:42pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed nine times for 73 yards in Week 12 against the New York Jets while adding one grab for five yards.

Huddle Up: White was very productive, averaging 8.1 yards per carry, but his touches will be limited going forward as long as Sony Michel is healthy again. Treat White as a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option in PPR leagues heading into Week 13, with lesser value in standard play.

  • Posted: 11/11/2018 4:34pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White posted five grabs for 31 yards on eight targets in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans and he had one run for minus-5 yards.

Huddle Up: It was an ugly show all around for the Patriots offense, and White saw his touches chopped down with the return of Sony Michel. The Patriots are off in Week 11 before returning in Week 12.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 8:43pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed 12 times for just 31 yards in Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers, but he had two touchdowns. He also added 72 yards on six receptions on seven targets.

Huddle Up: White was solid for all fantasy owners despite the 2.6 yards per run. He was especially solid in PPR fantasy formats. He'll try to keep it going in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

  • Posted: 10/29/2018 8:55pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed eight times for 15 yards and a touchdown in the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills while adding 10 receptions for 79 yards on 13 targets.

Huddle Up: White and Kenjon Barner were the only two active backs, and he averaged 1.9 yards per tote on the ground and Barner had just 2.0 yards per carry. Cordarrelle Patterson actually saw 10 runs for 38 yards to give the team somewhat of a rushing attack in a strange game. White is the fantasy back to own, however, especially in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 3:15pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed 11 times for a team-high 40 yards in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears and he added eight receptions for 57 yards and two scores on a team-high 10 targets.

Huddle Up: White was a fantasy stud, torching the Bears on pass routes out of the backfield and making people miss. He'll look to keep it up in Week 8 in another road game on Monday night in Buffalo.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 10:07pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White ran for 39 yards on six carries and added 53 yards on five receptions (seven targets) in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: It's a bit surprising given the shootout nature of this game that White didn't find the end zone for the fourth straight game, but he was due for some regression after entering Week 6 on pace for 102 catches, 864 receiving yards and 16 total touchdowns. This kind of production is about what owners should expect moving forward. He is a favorite of Tom Brady, however, so he will remain a key part of the offense. White should be considered a high-end RB2 in PPR leagues in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 10:21pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White caught 10 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: White's 14 targets were five more than anyone else, and he has now scored a receiving TD in four of New England's five games. It wouldn't be shocking to see his role scaled back a bit with Julian Edelman returning and Josh Gordon getting more comfortable in the offense, but you have to ride the hot hand. In PPR formats, White is a legit RB2.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 7:07pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed eight times for 44 yards and a touchdown and caught eight passes on 10 targets for 68 yards and another touchdown in a 38-7 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 4.

Huddle Up: White has now caught a touchdown in three of the first four games, and with Rex Burkhead sidelined, he should remain one of Tom Brady's favorite targets. White has RB2 upside in PPR formats heading into a Week 5 matchup against Indianapolis.

  • Posted: 9/29/2018 6:56pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White said he is prepared for whatever role is thrown at him in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins. 'If it is one snap or 60 snaps, you prepare hard in practice and be ready for any moment because you never know how the game is going to go for any of us,' White said.

Huddle Up: With all the injuries in New England's backfield, White should see some carries in addition to his role as third-down back. He's a solid flex play in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 6:37pm ET

New England Patriots RB James White rushed five times for 18 yards in the Week 1 game against the Houston Texans while he added four receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Huddle Up: The diminutive White is very versatile out of the backfield, but his biggest value to fantasy owners are his soft hands catching the football. He is a decent low-end RB3 in PPR formats. The Patriots will travel to meet the Jaguars in Week 2.
