Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (ankle) is expected to play in Week 10's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Grant was listed as questionable on the injury report after logging two limited practice sessions and one full session during the week. He will be suiting up for the first time since Week 6, so fantasy owners with decent alternatives may want to avoid using Grant until he can prove that he is both healthy and effective.

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

Huddle Up: Grant probably will miss another game because of the injury, so owners in all leagues should avoid him. Chester Rogers should continue to be in the starting lineup with Grant out and can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option for owners.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 3:26pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Huddle Up: Grant was not able to play in Week 7 and probably will miss the Week 8 game if he does not practice this week. Owners should look for other options to use and can bench Grant.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 1:17pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: Grant probably will not be able to play this week, but his official status will be known later in the week. Chester Rogers will see more targets if Grant is ruled out and could be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 10:38am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (ankle) was not able to practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Grant has underwhelmed through six games this year even with T.Y. Hilton out of commission. Hilton could return this week, but even if he doesn't Grant would be a risky WR3 or flex proposition.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 12:58pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the Week 6 game and has been ruled out.

Huddle Up: Grant will join a long list of injuries for the Colts. Owners should know more about Grant's status in the next day or two.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 9:49pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant had six receptions (on nine targets) for 58 yards during the team's 38-24 loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: Grant has posted respectable production in three of Indy's five games this season. The problem is that in four-plus NFL seasons Grant's numbers have never exceeded that designation. He's a decent possession receiver but shouldn't be owned in most leagues.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 6:20pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant racked up five receptions for 64 yards on seven targets in Week 5 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: It appears Grant and Chester Rogers will be the top two receivers heading into Week 5 against the New England Patriots on Thursday with T.Y. Hilton exiting with a hamstring injury and looking unlikely to suit up with the quick turnaround.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 7:10pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant posted three receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown on four targets in Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Huddle Up: Grant has posted 13 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets through three outings. Treat him more as a WR5 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 against the Texans.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 1:29pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant posted two grabs for 30 yards on two targets in Week 2 against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Grant, who spent his first four NFL seasons in Washington, was unable to make much of a dent against his old team. He opened with eight catches for 59 yards on nine targets, but was not nearly as much of a factor in this one. He remains nothing more than a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues heading into Week 3 at Philadelphia.

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (chest) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Huddle Up: Grant is coming off a productive Week 1 performance and should continue to be a solid option in the Colts passing game. He can be at least a flex option in some leagues and could even be a No. 3 receiver in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 2:11pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (chest) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: Grant was targeted nine times in Week 1 and was able to finish with eight catches and 59 yards. He appears to have a solid role in the passing game and could be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 3:32pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant (chest) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: Grant garnered a lot of attention with his eight-catch effort in the Colts' season opener and it looks like he'll have a chance to build on that in Week 2. As Andrew Luck continues to get comfortable with his new target, Grant's ceiling can continue to grow. He's worthy of WR3 consideration in most formats.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 2:03pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant posted eight receptions for 59 yards in the Week 1 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Grant was targeted nine times, doing a good job in short to medium routes for Andrew Luck. If Grant continues at this rate he'll be a valuable contributor in PPR formats. The Colts travel to meet the Redskins in Week 2.

  • Posted: 8/7/2018 9:45am ET

Indianapolis Colts WRs Ryan Grant and T.Y. Hilton 'have really separated themselves' with regards to the top two receiver spots on the depth chart, according to head coach Frank Reich.

Huddle Up: With all due respect to Grant, this would not be among the most favorable outcomes for the Colts if he holds off the competition. Grant has long been a favorite of his coaches for his dependability, but he is an average talent at best who doesn't bring the kind of size rookie Deon Cain has or the speed Chester Rogers brings to the table. Owners have to take notice because Andrew Luck is his quarterback, but Grant is not worth anything more than a late-round dart throw in most leagues.

  • Posted: 8/5/2018 6:34pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant is listed as the starter opposite WR T.Y. Hilton on the first depth chart released Saturday, Aug. 5.

Huddle Up: Grant had a career-high 573 receiving yards for Washington last year, and if he can hold on to the No. 2 receiver job for the Colts, he should surpass that total. He's never been a impact fantasy option, but he is at least worth a flier as a WR5.

  • Posted: 5/30/2018 7:30pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant worked as the No. 2 receiver during organized team activities Wednesday, May 30.

Huddle Up: Grant appears to have a good chance to win the starting job opposite T.Y. Hilton if he has a solid preseason. He is coming off a solid 2017 season and could be a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver depending on his role.

  • Posted: 5/20/2018 1:56pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant is the favorite over Chester Rogers to start opposite T.Y. Hilton, based on the one-year, $5 million contract Grant signed in free agency, according to NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal.

Huddle Up: It's poor reasoning from Rosenthal and runs counter to The Indianapolis Star' Zak Keefer, who reported a couple of weeks ago that Rogers is the 'leading candidate' to start in 2018. Rogers is reportedly picking up the new offense quickly and already has some chemistry with Andrew Luck. Grant can be a fine slot option, but asking him to hold up on the outside on a regular basis may be too big of a request.

  • Posted: 3/29/2018 7:18pm ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Ryan Grant has 'position versatility' and can be productive on the outside or in the slot, according to head coach Frank Reich.

Huddle Up: Grant could end up seeing a lot of time in the slot for Indianapolis. Playing with Andrew Luck gives him a chance at fantasy relevance, and he could provide depth as a WR5.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 9:10am ET

Free-agent WR Ryan Grant (Redskins) reportedly signed a one-year contract worth $5 million with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, March 20.

Huddle Up: The Colts need help and depth in a lots of places, and Grant should see a significant amount of time on a team that doesn't have any proof players at receiver besides T.Y. Hilton. Ideally, Grant ends up being Indianapolis's third receiver who gets some run in the slot. He could flirt with fantasy relevancy in 2018, but he would probably need an injury to Hilton or Chester Rogers in order for it to happen.

Free-agent WR Ryan Grant (ankle) passed a physical with the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, March 18, but left without a deal. He will visit with the Oakland Raiders next, a source said.

Huddle Up: Grant had a deal in place with the Baltimore Ravens, but he flunked their physical due to an ankle injury he suffered in the regular season finale. It appears the minor setback will not keep him from finding a home soon. Indy might be a better landing spot for his fantasy appeal, since Oakland has Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson, etc.

  • Posted: 3/17/2018 4:29pm ET

Free-agent WR Ryan Grant (Redskins) will visit with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, March 18.

Huddle Up: Grant had agreed on a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, but an ankle injury suffered in the regular season finale caused him to fail the physical and nullify the deal. It would be ironic if Grant landed in Oakland, as the Ravens turned to former Raiders WR Michael Crabtree after getting away from Grant.

  • Posted: 3/14/2018 4:37pm ET

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Ryan Grant (Redskins) officially agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens Wednesday, March 14. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but an earlier report stated that it is a four-year deal worth $29 million.

Huddle Up: Grant probably will be at least the No. 3 receiver for the Ravens this season and could even be in the starting lineup. He is coming off a solid 2017 season and could be a No. 4 or No. 5 receiver in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 3/13/2018 5:46pm ET

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR Ryan Grant agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens on a four-year contract worth $29 million with $14.5 million guaranteed and a $10 million signing bonus Tuesday, March 13.

Huddle Up: Grant was long a favorite of Redskins head coach Jay Gruden for his practice habits and finally saw some playing time in 2017, but this is a move that is hard to understand for a mostly unproven receiver who is stretched to be anything more than a slot option. If Baltimore overhauls the receiving corps like general manager Ozzie Newsome suggested earlier this offseason, Grant may be forced to be Joe Flacco's top option.
