Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) was taking part in practice Thursday, Jan. 10.

Huddle Up: Nelson, who has been in and out of the lineup for the entire second half of the season, missed practice Tuesday and Wednesday but should be able to give it a go Saturday night. How long he plays and how effective he is, however, are the 2 key questions.

Posted: 1/6/2013 10:45am et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ankle, knee) entered the NFC Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings Saturday, Jan. 5, with a knee injury, and he appeared to roll his right ankle before hitting his knee on the turf in the fourth quarter. He limped off the field, but was smiling on the sidelines afterward.

Huddle Up: It's been a touch-and-go second half of the season for Nelson, who missed 5 of the Packers' final 9 regular-season games and then came up gimpy again late Saturday. Nelson finished with 3 catches for 51 yards on 6 targets in the contest, but his health will once again be under scrutiny in practice this week leading up to Saturday night's divisional-round game in San Francisco.

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee, hamstring) said he has no doubt he will play in the Packers playoff game Saturday, Jan. 5. Nelson was a full participant in the team's practice Thursday.

Huddle Up: Nelson caught 3 passes for 87 yards and a TD in Week 17 -- his first action since Week 13 -- and if he plays, Aaron Rodgers should have a full complement of WRs against a banged-up Vikings' secondary.

Posted: 12/30/2012 9:05pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson left in the fourth quarter of the Week 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a knee issue, but he was able to return and haul in the game-tying touchdown.

Huddle Up: Seeing his first action since Week 13, Nelson finished with 3 catches for 87 yards and the TD -- a 2-yard grab in the fourth quarter. He also had a 73-yard reception and run in the third quarter to set up another Green Bay TD.

Posted: 12/28/2012 10:39pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 28, and is probable for Week 17.

Huddle Up: After practicing in full 3 straight days, Nelson is looking like a safe fantasy start this Sunday. It might be just in time for the Pack, too, with fellow WR Randall Cobb a question mark.

Posted: 12/27/2012 11:18pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Nelson was a full participant for the second straight practice, and it's looking very much like the WR will see the first action Sunday since Week 13.

Posted: 12/26/2012 11:24pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) practiced in full Wednesday, Dec. 26.

Huddle Up: The return of Nelson, who hasn't played since Week 11, would present even more options for fantasy owners who have made it to the championship round without the WR.

Posted: 12/24/2012 9:54pm et

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he is hopeful WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) will return in Week 17.

Huddle Up: Nelson hasn't played since Week 13 -- when he had a catch for 10 yards -- and a return now isn't going to do much for his fantasy owners, who, if you're still afloat, likely have been riding other options.

Posted: 12/21/2012 4:02pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Dec. 21, and is out for Week 16.

Huddle Up: One guy who won't be getting the ball in that Packers offense, again, is Jordy Nelson. He has become one of the year's biggest fantasy busts, though injuries have been the culprit. He has not done much in the second half of the season so you should be used to this by now.

Posted: 12/20/2012 11:09pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Another missed practice, another step toward a third consecutive missed game for Nelson, who only has 6 catches for 126 yards and a TD since Week 7.

Posted: 12/19/2012 11:23pm et

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) was unable to participate in any portion of practice Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Huddle Up: Those waiting for Nelson's return are likely going to be disappointed for a third-straight week. Even if the WR is close, the Packers no doubt will err on the side of caution and hold him out with the playoffs right around corner.

Posted: 12/17/2012 7:00pm et

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said the team will have a better handle on WR Jordy Nelson's (hamstring) availability for Week 16 Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Huddle Up: Nelson has missed the past 2 games, but the Packers don't seem to be missing him with Randall Cobb and James Jones having stepped up big-time. It's going to be hard to count on Nelson, even if he is active for Week 16, as a re-aggravation is only a play away.

Posted: 12/14/2012 2:21pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) is out for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Unsurprising news out of Green Bay. Plan accordingly.

Posted: 12/13/2012 5:52pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: With 2 missed practices in 2 days, it's looking like Nelson will miss a 2nd straight game.

Posted: 12/12/2012 2:43pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: It looks like a longshot that Nelson will be available this week. Plan accordingly.

Posted: 12/8/2012 5:04pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 14 after missing practice all week. The team hopes to have Nelson return in Week 15 against the Chicago Bears. Meanwhile, the Packers also have ruled out RB James Starks (knee), DE C.J. Wilson (knee), LB Clay Matthews (hamstring) and CB Charles Woodson (collarbone).

Huddle Up: This will be Nelson's third missed game in the past 6 weeks, and in the other 3, fantasy owners didn't get a whole lot out of the wideout, who totaled 6 catches, 126 yards and a TD. The news isn't nearly as grim for the fantasy owners of Aaron Rodgers, who still has Greg Jennings, Randall Cobb and James Jones to throw to.

Posted: 12/5/2012 2:38pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Huddle Up: More injury woes for the Packers as Nelson looks like he could miss another game with a hamstring injury. Keep an eye on his practice status on Friday to see if you should avoid him altogether.

Posted: 12/3/2012 7:48pm et

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said WR Jordy Nelson's hamstring injury is "not of a serious nature" Monday, Dec. 3.

Huddle Up: This is the second hamstring injury this season for Nelson, who only has 6 catches over the team's past 5 games, and fantasy owners should wait to see some positive practice signs from the WR this week before counting on him in a postseason matchup.

Posted: 12/2/2012 3:35pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson left Sunday's Week 13 game in the first quarter because of a hamstring injury and will not return.

Huddle Up: Nelson just can't seem to stay on the field. The wideout missed Weeks 8 & 9 with hamstring and foot injuries, and after returning to play the past 2 weeks, left early Sunday after a catch for 10 yards. His fantasy owners now have another week ahead of monitoring practice reports.

Posted: 11/17/2012 6:42pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring, foot) said he felt good during practice this week and expects to play in Week 11. 'I've been practicing all week, so hopefully I'm not practicing to sit the bench. We'll be ready to go. I stayed here all bye week, got healthy and went out there feeling good. Practicing just like a normal week,' Nelson said.

Huddle Up: Nelson, who hasn't caught a pass in the Pack's past 2 games, was on some kind of roll before his injury, hauling in combined 17 passes for 243 yards and 4 TDs in Weeks 6 & 7. With Greg Jennings still out, he'll combine with Randall Cobb and James Jones to give Aaron Rodgers a potent trio of targets.

Posted: 11/16/2012 7:01pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring, foot) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 16, but is listed as probable for Week 11.

Huddle Up: After missing Week 8 with the hamstring injury, Nelson did try to give it a go Week 9 but injured his foot in the first quarter and left for the remainder of the contest without catching a pass. He'll team with emerging WRs James Jones and Randall Cobb to give Aaron Rodgers a formidable trio of WR targets.

Posted: 11/15/2012 4:00pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 15.

Huddle Up: Nelson is seeking to get his first extended game action since Week 7, and his fantasy owners are anxiously awaiting his return after seeing the wideout total a combined 17 catches, 243 yards and 4 TDs in his past 2 full outings.

Posted: 11/14/2012 5:19pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Huddle Up: It's good to see Nelson practicing mid-week. His status is still up in the air for this week's NFC North showdown against the Lions, but it looks like Nelson is on track to return from his hamstring injury. Watch his injury status throughout the week.

Posted: 11/12/2012 3:41pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (ankle) is participating in practice Monday, Nov. 12.

Huddle Up: Nelson was finally living up to his billing before the injury left his owners hanging. Looks like better times ahead with this news.

Posted: 11/4/2012 6:22pm et

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson suffered an ankle injury as he tried to make a sliding reception in the first quarter of Sunday's Week 9 game against the Arizona Cardinals. He did not return to the contest.

Huddle Up: Nelson, who missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, was classified as active in a bit of a pre-game surprise, but that hope quickly was dashed with the rolled ankle 10 minutes into the contest. Fellow WRs Randall Cobb and James Jones continued to shine with Nelson and Greg Jennings out, but now Nelson gets a bye week to try to recover for Week 11.

Posted: 11/3/2012 12:41am et

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) looks to be in much better shape than he was at this time last week, but he is still iffy for the Week 9 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Huddle Up: It sounds like Nelson has an increased chance of playing, but be very wary as he figures to be at less than full strength even if he does.

Posted: 11/2/2012 2:49pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) appears unlikely to play again in Week 9 after missing practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

Huddle Up: We are still awaiting news from today's practice, where Nelson was supposed to "test" his hamstring, but the likelihood is he will be out for Week 9. He has not been in practice all week.

Posted: 11/1/2012 3:36pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) is not participating in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

Huddle Up: Having Nelson sit out Wednesday and Thursday was the plan as the wideout will test his hammy on Friday.

Posted: 10/31/2012 2:05pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) is not participating during the media-access portion of practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Huddle Up: Could we be in for another week without Nelson? It looks like his playing status is up in the air. With Greg Jennings out for a few more weeks, at least, this could give Randall Cobb and James Jones some more run as top receivers for Aaron Rodgers, which makes them both fantasy starters. Donald Driver would also continue to get some sleeper status.

Posted: 10/26/2012 8:08pm et

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) will test his hamstring before the team's Week 8 game to see if he will be able to play.

Huddle Up: The dreaded game time decision, Nelson owners should have a contingency plan in case he sits.

Posted: 10/25/2012 4:30pm et

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) will not practice Friday, Oct. 25. Nelson may test the injury on Saturday or Sunday.

Huddle Up: Losing Nelson's recent productivity would be painful to his owners, having been on a two week joy-ride. Definitely a situation to monitor.

Posted: 10/24/2012 2:52pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) was added to the injury report Wednesday, Oct. 24, after his hamstring tightened up in practice.

Huddle Up: Hopefully the injury is minor, but this is cause for concern for Nelson owners. It could mean a big day is coming for James Jones, Randall Cobb and/or Old Man Donald Driver. Watch Nelson's injury status through the rest of the week.

Posted: 9/4/2012 6:53pm et

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers had praise for WR Jordy Nelson. 'Jordy is an incredible receiver,' Rodgers said. 'He makes us look good a lot.'

Huddle Up: Most fantasy GMs don't believe Nelson's 1,263-yard, 15-TD season of a year ago was a fluke. Otherwise he wouldn't be being drafted 11th overall among WRs -- only 3 spots in back of teammate Greg Jennings. Nelson's TD total might take a small dip, but look for him to have another WR1 season.

Posted: 8/8/2012 12:20pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson has arguably been the team's best player in training camp so far. Nelson has reportedly been a dominating force.

Huddle Up: Nelson has taken advantage of Greg Jenning's absence due to a concussion to really stand out. With Aaron Rodgers at the helm there should be enough stats available to make both Nelson and Jennings elite fantasy receivers.

Posted: 7/31/2012 1:40am et

Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson is struggling to hang on to the ball early in training camp. Nelson could not make a diving catch in the back of the end zone during Monday's practice.

Huddle Up: It's actually refreshing to hear something negative about a player in camp, instead of the usual "he's catching everything thrown his way" or "he's showing great acceleration."
