New York Giants RBs Andre Williams and Orleans Darkwa are likely competing with each other for a roster spot, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.

Huddle Up: With exciting fifth-round rookie Paul Perkins added to the N.Y. RB mix headed by Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen, Williams and Darkwa have fallen even farther off the fantasy radar. Keep your draft distance.

New York Giants RB Andre Williams appeared quicker and more fluid after transforming his body in the offseason, and he caught the ball out of the backfield well, according to NJ.com's James Kratch.

Huddle Up: The 2014 fourth-round pick certainly is going to have to show a little extra something this summer as the Giants' RB stable keeps growing, with fifth-round pick Paul Perkins joining the mix.

New York Giants RB Andre Williams won't be outworked by anyone, according to head coach Ben McAdoo, who said not to give up on the running back.

Huddle Up: We had hoped it was deposed Giants coach Tom Coughlin whom Williams had the incriminating photos of, but apparently it's McAdoo. What other reason can there be for the Giants continuing to give the league's most inefficient back opportunities? Unless it's a pre-draft smokescreen as the Giants eye Ohio State's Ezekiel Elliott with the 10th overall pick...

New York Giants RB Andre Williams could overtake RB Rashad Jennings as the lead back sometime this season, maybe even to open the season. Williams has worked on his receiving game this offseason and studied Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell's patience with the ball.

Huddle Up: The raw numbers (5 rushes-11 yards, 1 catch-16 yards) say the second-year Williams isn't exactly tearing it up this preseason, but it sounds like he's showing some definite strides in practice. Something to definitely keep an eye on as Williams is currently the 49th RB being drafted, on average, while Jennings is 24th and Shane Vereen is 39th.
