The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said it is possible that WR Limas Sweed could be inactive for the team's Week 4 game.
The Huddle Take: Sweed has to be on Tomlin's last nerve. He hasn't come close to fulfilling the promise he showed when the Steelers drafted him, and dropped a critical TD pass in Week 3 against the Bengals.

Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers WR Limas Sweed and WR Mike Wallace continue to compete for the No.3 position at wide receiver. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians hinted the competition could continue during the regular season. Arians said both will play no matter who the No. 3 and No. 4 wide receiver is. "It might be 3A and 3B depending on our package, what we're asking out of those guys. I'm not saying either one's beat the other one out. They'll both play a lot," added Arians.
The Huddle Take: Sweed was drafted in the second round last year in hopes that he could give the Steelers a big target similar to that which Plaxico Burress used to provide. Wallace was a third-round pick this year who isn't ceding the spot, giving Pittsburgh solid depth at wide receiver.

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Steelers WR Limas Sweed left the team's practice early Sunday, Aug. 9, with a tight hamstring.
The Huddle Take: The Steelers are looking for a receiver to step up and fill Nate Washington's slot in the rotation. Sweed did little as a rookie and needs to be on the field rather than in the training room if he hopes to be a serious contender for that role.
