Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne are splitting first-team reps evenly in OTAs.
Huddle Up: There's not much to like about the Jacksonville quarterback situation from a fantasy perspective, but it's worth keeping an eye on to know who'll be throwing to Cecil Shorts.

QB Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch said there is no favorite between QBs Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne in the team's quarterback competition. 'We have two guys competing as hard as they possibly can to put themselves in position to be the starting quarterback,' Fisch said.
Huddle Up: With Henne and Gabbert having struggled so far in their brief NFL careers, don't be surprised if the Jags add another young arm to the mix by drafting a QB fairly high.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch said QBs Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne are rotating snaps during offseason workouts so they can both receive time with the starting offense.
Huddle Up: Jacksonville's new staff needs to gauge its quarterback situation prior to draft day, so getting both Gabbert and Henne snaps makes sense.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said he is actively searching to add "at least one other quarterback into the fold, possibly two," despite QBs Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne already on the roster. He also said the spot could get addressed through the NFL Draft or free agency.
Huddle Up: Gabbert and Henne are hardly sure things, so it makes sense for the Jaguars to keep looking. Of course, even if the plan is to give Gabbert one more test-drive you want the rest of the league to think Jacksonville is interested in a quarterback so they can receive maximum value if they want to trade out of the second pick.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne tied a career-high with seven completions of at least 15 yards downfield in Week 12. Since QB Blaine Gabbert injured his throwing arm, Henne has completed 12 of 17 passes of that distance for 418 yards and two touchdowns. Gabbert did not have 12 completions or throw for 400 yards on such throws until his sixth game of the season.
Huddle Up: That in a nutshell is why Justin Blackmon has become such a fantasy factor with Henne at the helm, and why Cecil Shorts continues to carve out fantasy value as well. Enjoy the next month or so with Henne at the helm; he may very well be playing himself into the starting gig in Jacksonville next season.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne said he is not feeling pressure as the starting quarterback even though his play likely will determine his future with the team. 'There's always pressure on your shoulders, but, hey, we're 1-9. You kind of think how much worse can I do. Let's be loose and let's play with confidence and let's see what we can do as an offense. You're playing for your job, and it's a tough league and you want to stay in the league but you want to make the most of it and see what you can do,' Henne said.
Huddle Up: Henne's Week 11 outburst (354 yards, 4 TDs vs. the Texans) caught most everyone off guard, and fantasy GMs suddenly are scrambling to get Henne, TE Marcedes Lewis and WRs Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts on their rosters and into their lineups, hoping they've latched on to some late-season lightning in a bottle. However, if Henne and Co. fall on their faces Sunday against a less-than-imposing Titans' defense, those high hopes will vanish as quickly as they appeared.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said Wednesday, Nov. 21, QB Chad Henne has a chance to win the team's starting quarterback job for next season if he plays well in the last six games.
Huddle Up: It seems like Blaine Gabbert has taken his last snap as the Jaguars starter. Well, anything could happen—the Jaguars could decide to give him one more shot next year—but for now, Henne is the man in Jacksonville. He has provided an unexpected spark on offense, but how will he do when teams are ready for him? He has had big games in the past only to fall flat the rest of the way. It would be foolhardy to trust him going forward, but he makes a decent backup.

Updating a previous item, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said QB Chad Henne will start in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans based on a combination of QB Blaine Gabbert's (elbow) injury and Henne's performance in Week 11.
Huddle Up: This was an easy decision for Mularkey after Henne shredded a solid defense in the Texans with 354 passing yards and 4 TDs Sunday. That's about 2-3 games worth of stats for Gabbert.
