CBSSports.com reports Arizona Cardinals WR Early Doucet (shoulder) said after practice Monday, Aug. 17, that he has full range of motion in his shoulder but that there is still pain. Doucet said the pain is why he is not participating in contact drills, but he hopes to be back in them by Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The Huddle Take: Doucet has lost valuable time in camp, and is likely no better than fifth on the Cardinal WR depth chart after Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Steve Breaston and Jerheme Urban.

The Arizona Republic reports Arizona Cardinals WR Early Doucet (arm) suffered an arm injury while trying to make a diving catch during practice Monday, Aug. 3. Trainers appeared to be looking at his elbow and shoulder.
The Huddle Take: Doucet is fighting for the No. 3 WR spot with Steve Breaston and Jerheme Urban, so any time missed will obviously hurt him. Breaston likely had the inside track to that spot anyway.

AZCardinals.com reports Arizona Cardinals WR Early Doucet is progressing but has not seen much playing time because he is at the bottom of the depth chart. 'For the most part it is (a numbers thing),' wide receivers coach Mike Miller said. 'Early is doing well. His progress, it took a turn there with the injury and lack of reps. He is ready to go at three of our four spots. He's just waiting for an opportunity to get in there and make it happen. We'd love to get him more, but right now, it's a tough situation.'
The Huddle Take: Doucet is lost in the shadows of Fitzgerald, Boldin and Breaston, a formidable trio, and won't see much action at all this season. Boldin will likely bolt in the off season, and Early will get his chance to take over as starter, however, if that does not happen and all come back next year, then this will become an overcrowded situation.
