Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Cowboys RB Tashard Choice did not receive a carry in Week 7. It was the first time in his career that he did not have a carry.
The Huddle Take: This was the first time since Week 2 that Dallas has had all three backs healthy at the same time, but Choice received two carries in each of those previous games. It appears as though he's been bumped back to third in the Cowboys' backfield pecking order.

David Moore, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said he must try to get RB Tashard Choice more touches as the season progresses. 'We've got to give him some touches,' Phillips said. 'We can't eliminate him. He makes plays.' Although Choice admitted that he does not know how many carries he will receive on a weekly basis, he does know that he serves as the team's third-down back.
The Huddle Take: Choice has out produced Barber over the past two games since Barber's return from his quad injury. Barber is clearly not 100% back yet and is not seeing much action in the fourth quarter of games. Choice will continue to be a factor in the Dallas offense and a viable fantasy option.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tashard Choice could see 10 to 12 carries Week 4 as the team's No. 2 running back.
The Huddle Take: Choice had a tremendous showing in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers and looks to build on that performance with the other Dallas running backs nursing injuries. Marion Barber is likely to be back on the field in Week 4 so Choice will likely not see the activity that he did last week.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tashard Choice rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown in the team's Week 3 game.
The Huddle Take: Choice was a great free agent pickup in most leagues last week, and could be worth another start in Denver for Week 4. There's no guarantee at this point that Marion Barber will be back, and Felix Jones strained a knee against Carolina, so there's a chance that Choice will once again see a significant amount of touches this week.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tashard Choice will have a role in the team's Week 15 game even if RB Marion Barber III (toe) returns to the lineup. Choice could take over some of the third down duties while working a series in each half with the regular offense.
The Huddle Take: With Marion Barber in the doghouse with owner Jerry Jones backup running back Tashard Choice could see more action during the last few games of the season. Choice has looked good in limited action and could challenge Barber for the starting running back job with the Cowboys in 2009.

The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys rookie RB Tashard Choice will make his first NFL start against the Pittsburgh Steelers during Week 14 because RB Marion Barber III (toe) did not make the trip with the team. The Steelers lead the NFL in rushing defense, allowing just 71.2 yards per game, which is the lowest by any team since the 1970 NFL merger. They also have not allowed an opposing back to gain even 80 yards.
The Huddle Take: Marion Barber is a no go, Choice is the man of the hour. This is tempered by the fact that the team is facing the Steeler defense, so while Choice is the starter, his upside is very limited today. Make necessary changes to your lineups.
