Denver Broncos TE Jacob Tamme said he is happy that the team added WR Wes Welker this offseason and is not worried about how his production could be affected. 'People ask me, 'Is it going to affect you?' All that sort of stuff,' Tamme said. 'I never really worried much about all that. Wes is awesome. It's great to have him here. It's been great to get to know him the past few days. He's going to be a great addition to our team. We have a lot of guys that can do a lot of different things. I'm going to do whatever they ask me to do.'
Huddle Up: Welker's signing is good news for Peyton Manning and the Broncos' overall offense, but it's not so much for Tamme's fantasy prospects. Tamme led the Broncos' TEs with 52 grabs for 555 yards last season, but Joel Dreessen (41-356) is back, and Welker should easily double Brandon Stokley's 2012 numbers (45-544) from the slot, with a good deal of that taking away from the tight-end production.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said that TE Jacob Tamme is a key to the team's offense, because how defenses play the tight end speaks to what defenses are trying to do. 'So much for us, in what we do, is how do they play Tamme,' Manning said. 'Some teams treat him like a receiver and some teams treat him like a tight end, so you kind of find that out, see how they handle him in the formation. He kind of makes them, the way he plays and how he plays, have that discussion and we see where that takes us.'
Huddle Up: Strictly looking at Tamme's fantasy value, the TE hasn't done much of late -- catching only 4 passes for 93 yards over the Broncos' past 3 games -- making him too risky of a Week 17 proposition.

Denver Broncos TE Jacob Tamme was used in the slot, catching nine passes for 89 yards in Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as WR Brandon Stokley was inactive.
Huddle Up: Tamme operating out of the slot feels a whole lot like how Dallas Clark was used during Manning's time in Indy, and the results support that theory. If Stokley's hip injury continues to keep him on the sideline, ratchet up your PPR expectations for Tamme.

Denver Broncos TE Jacob Tamme (groin), CB Chris X. Harris (ankle) and CB Tracy Porter (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 28, and are listed as probable for Week 4.
Huddle Up: Tamme left in the second half of this past week's game with the groin injury, but has been able to come back and practice this week. Tamme shares TE time with backup Joel Dreessen and both have caught TD passes so far, but Tamme has double the catches (10-5) and 10 more targets (19-9) than Dreessen through 3 weeks.
