Cincinnati Bengals QB Josh X. Johnson appears to have an edge over QBs John Skelton and Zac Robinson for the No. 2 quarterback job entering training camp because he is the best runner among the quarterbacks, can throw the ball deep and knows the offensive system.
Huddle Up: Johnson has kicked around the NFL a bit, teasing with athleticism and potential, but he has yet to land in a spot where he's been given the opportunity to showcase himself. Ideally, as Cincy's QB2 he'll spend the season holding a clipboard, but if Andy Dalton goes down he brings at least a little something to the fantasy table.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Josh X. Johnson has a legitimate chance to win
the No. 2 quarterback job because offensive coordinator Jay Gruden
was an offensive assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they
selected Johnson. The team could also use Johnson's athletic ability
with a read-option package for him.
Huddle Up: Johnson is with his 3rd team in 3 seasons and only has attempted 52
passes since his rookie year of 2009, but considering that the
backup QB competition in Cincy consists of John Skelton and Zac
Robinson, go ahead and pencil in Johnson as the No. 2 man right now.
