Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said WR Joshua Morgan left practice early Thursday, Aug. 1, because of a strained hamstring.
Huddle Up: No big alarm for now as hammies are notoriously fickle in early August, but keep an eye out for further developments as Morgan did start 15 games and lead the Skins with 48 catches a year ago.

Washington Redskins WR Joshua Morgan said he is feeling very good after undergoing surgery on his ankle and hands this offseason. 'I feel better than I thought I was going to feel,' Morgan said. 'I thought it was going to be little stuff here and there, but I feel a lot better. Everybody says I'm running real good. All the coaches can see me getting in and out of my cuts a lot better.' Morgan did look to have his burst and agility back during offseason workouts last week. He also said he did not have any problems catching passes despite the surgeries on his hands.
Huddle Up: Lost in the all the excitement over rookies RGIII and Alfred Morris and fellow WR Pierre Garcon's big plays, it's easy to forget that Morgan led the Skins in receptions last season with 48. With his health looking good, it's not hard to envision a slight jump to 50-60 catches for Morgan as he reprises his starting role.
