Washington Redskins WR Joshua Morgan said he is on schedule in his recovery from offseason ankle surgery and hopes to be ready for the start of offseason workouts in May.
Huddle Up: No need for Morgan to rush back, as the Redskins' quarterback isn't likely to be on the field any time soon. Still, any work he gets in now would go a long way towards helping him carve out a role in what has become a relatively crowded Washington receiving corps.

Washington Redskins WR Joshua Morgan said he had surgery to remove a plate in his surgically-repaired ankle, in addition to having ligaments repaired in both hands.
Huddle Up: Ankle, hands... evidently Morgan was pretty banged up. No indication he won't be ready to go when the Redskins begin offseason workouts, but so long as RG3 is sidelined the Redskins' receivers after Pierre Garcon are at best fringe fantasy factors anyway.

Washington Redskins WR Joshua Morgan underwent surgery Friday, Jan. 18. It is believed he underwent surgery on the ankle he broke in 2011.
Huddle Up: Morgan was an inconsistent contributor for the Redskins this season; following surgery, he should have ample time to work his way up from Washington's receiver depth.

The Washington Redskins released their Week 1 depth chart Monday, Sept. 3, and WR Joshua Morgan (leg) is listed as a starter opposite WR Pierre Garcon. Morgan spent most of the preseason recovering from the leg injury which ended his 2011 season with the San Francisco 49ers.
Huddle Up: The Redskins are deep at WR with Santana Moss and Leonard Hankerson serving as the backups behind Morgan and Garcon. With more-than-capable TE Fred Davis also thrown into the mix, expect rookie QB Robert Griffin III to spread the ball around, making any of the wideouts hit-or-miss fantasy plays.

Washington Redskins WR Joshua Morgan (hamstring) is expected to be back on the practice field Monday, Aug. 6, according to head coach Mike Shanahan.
Huddle Up: This would be good news for Morgan, who needs all the camp reps he can get as he tries to separate himself from the Skins' receiver pack. Washington has 14 wideouts in camp, including holdovers Santana Moss and Leonard Hankerson and fellow free-agent acquisition Pierre Garcon. Morgan only had 15 catches for the Niners a year ago in a season cut short by a broken leg.
Posted: 8/1/2012 4:22pm et
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said WR Josh Morgan will miss a few days of practice because of a strained hamstring.
Huddle Up: Morgan is battling Santana Moss, Pierre Garçon, Leonard Hankerson, and newly signed Dezmon Briscoe for playing time in DC; missing a few days of practice isn't going to help him in that endeavor.

Washington Redskins WR Josh Morgan (leg) said he still has not recovered fully from a fractured leg suffered last season. He didn't practice fully during organized team activities and is limited in minicamp. He admitted he's lost five inches off his vertical leap. Morgan hopes to be ready for training camp.
Huddle Up: Whoa, this is a surprise. Morgan came over from San Francisco and was given a chunky $7.5 million guaranteed, then Mike Shanahan raved about him in the first OTAs. Morgan still has plenty of time to get ready for 2012 but when you've lost five inches off your vertical leap something ain't right. Leonard Hankerson has a legitimate shot at starting across from Pierre Garcon, with the aging Santana Moss moving into the slot.
