The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports there is a 'strong possibility' that San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree will start against the Houston Texans in Week 7, according to head coach Mike Singletary. 'I'm helping him learn my position and take my position,' said WR Josh Morgan, who ranks second on the team behind TE Vernon Davis in receiving. 'It is what it is. If he can help us win, I'm all right with that.'
The Huddle Take: Crabtree isn't a recommended Fantasy option unless you're really thin at WR due to the bye week. At first blush the Texans may seem to have a pushover defense, but although they rank in the bottom half of the league yardage-wise, they've only given up six passing TDs -- tied for fourth-fewest in the league.

Matt Maiocco, of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports San Francisco 49ers WR Josh Morgan is capitalizing on WR Michael Crabtree not being signed and further entrenching himself as a starter with the 49ers. Head coach Mike Singletary said the team has a lot of confidence in Morgan and noted he has a lot of potential. He has been lining up as one of the team's starting wide receivers thus far in training camp.
The Huddle Take: Morgan is viewed as a wideout with potential as well, with the added bonus of some NFL experience under his belt. The fact that he's in camp and not demanding to be paid like the third overall draft pick is working in his favor as well.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports San Francisco 49ers WR Josh Morgan could be the team's main wide receiver this season.
The Huddle Take: It's not as if the Niners have a boatload of options, and they're not exactly settled at quarterback either. Mix in the fact that Mike Singletary wants the offense to be more run-oriented, and it smacks of faint praise for Morgan.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports the San Francisco 49ers would like to move WR Josh Morgan into the starting lineup next season.
The Huddle Take: He played well enough at times to warrant this consideration. He holds a decent level of value in keeper leagues going forward as the Niners continue their climb back into contention.
