Denver Broncos FB Peyton Hillis could see more time as the tailback in Week 8 because of the return of LB/FB Spencer Larsen (shoulder).
The Huddle Take: The Broncos backup RB Peyton Hillis could play a vital role down the stretch providing Denver with a quality change of pace back. Look for the rookie Knowshon Moreno to get the bulk of the carries with Peyton Hillis likely to get a larger role and some carries around the goalline.

The Denver Post, reports the Denver Broncos likely will use FB Peyton Hillis in several ways this season so they can use his different skills. 'We're going to use every skill he has. He does a lot of things well. He can run the ball as a single back or he can catch the ball out of the backfield. He can block in two-back sets or he can split out wide. He's got great hands and he's a very tough runner to bring down when you give him the ball. So he'll do a lot of different things for us,' head coach Josh McDaniels said.
The Huddle Take: Knowshon Moreno will take the bulk of work regardless of what Hillis is given so expect him to only have marginal fantasy value at best.

DenverBroncos.com, reports Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels said he has been impressed with FB Peyton Hillis so far this offseason. 'He's got great hands, he's got a great feel for the passing game and he's a very tough runner when you give him the ball. He'll do a lot of different things for us,' McDaniels said. 'We tell our players they all create their own roles and he's certainly done a good job of taking what we're giving him and doing it very well.'
The Huddle Take: Sounds like Hillis could be the front runner at the present time for the starting running back job in Denver. With several other runners also vying for time in the backfield don't expect any one runner to get the majority of the carries. Hillis ran strong last season and should be a factor especially around the goaline for the Broncos this year.

DenverBroncos.com, reports Broncos FB Peyton Hillis said the rehab from his hamstring injury is going fine.
The Huddle Take: Hillis, who had a nice run as the Broncos' feature back before the hamstring injury prematurely ended his season, is expected to return to more of a fullback role next season. We'll have to see how new coach Josh McDaniels uses his backs, but if his work in New England under Bill Belichick is any indication the Denver backfield could be just as frustrating as it was under Mike Shanahan.

Updating a previous report, ESPNews reports Denver Broncos RB Peyton Hillis (hamstring) will miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 14.
The Huddle Take: This pretty much validates what was already apparent to those watching when Hillis was hurt. This is obviously a tough break for Fantasy owners who had been relying on Hillis. If those players want to stick with the Denver running game, they'll be largely pinning their playoff hopes on Tatum Bell.

The Rocky Mountain News reports Denver Broncos FB Peyton Hillis will have an MRI on his injured hamstring Monday, Dec. 8.
The Huddle Take: The injury did not look good and prevented Hillis from returning to action Sunday. Based on HC Shanahan's post-game comments Hillis may be done for the season. If he's out, the Broncos will move even further down the running back depth chart to Tatum Bell and hope Selvin Young gets healthy some time soon.

The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos RB Peyton Hillis (hamstring) suffered a strained hamstring in the first half of the team's Week 14 game.
The Huddle Take: Another Broncos back goes down. Hillis was filling in well and, believe it or not, there is Tatum Bell as the last man standing. Go figure. It has not been a good year for Denver backs whatsoever.

Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan said during his press conference FB Peyton Hillis can be used as a tailback as well as a fullback in the offense. Shanahan said Hillis plays better with the ball in his hands at tailback running the ball or catching the ball out of the backfield and will get more time at tailback. Hillis could eventually be used on the line of scrimmage.
The Huddle Take: Hillis has been consistent the past few weeks, with five touchdowns in his last five games. Other than the Cleveland game, Hillis has produced significant Fantasy production. And he's done it not only rushing, but receiving as well, as evidenced by his 7 catches for 116 yards and a TD against Miami.

The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos FB Peyton Hillis had 22 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown during the team?s Week 13 game.
The Huddle Take: The Broncos appear to have found their feature running back in Peyton Hillis who has been primarily used as a full back during his collegiate and NFL career. He continues to run strong given the opportunity and makes for a solid No. 3 running back heading into the playoffs. He has some upside and seems to fit into Denver's offensive plans very nicely.

Denver Broncos FB Peyton Hillis did not start at running back in the team's Week 12 game but spent most of the game at running back.
The Huddle Take: Hillis may not have started, but he still had 17 carries compared to six by Tatum Bell. And Hillis also scored his third touchdown in the last two games. You never know what Mike Shanahan will do, and Bell may take carries as he gets closer to being in game shape, but there's no indication Hillis' workload will decrease anytime soon.
