The Associated Press reports New England Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis scored three rushing touchdowns during the team's preseason game Thursday, Sept. 3. Green-Ellis had 29 carries for 125 yards and four receptions for 22 receiving yards in the game.
The Huddle Take: BJGE has been largely forgotten while fantasy owners attempted to guess whether Fred Taylor, Laurence Maroney, or Sammy Morris would wind up with the bulk of the carries in New England. Now it appears the Patriots backfield could wind up being a five-man committee, with Green-Ellis and third-down back Kevin Faulk in the mix as well.
