Updating previous reports, Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (ankle) has already undergone surgery on his dislocated ankle, according to a source. Assuming there are no setbacks with his recovery, he is expected to be able to return to football by August.

Huddle Up: The 27-year-old Hurns had just 20 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season and will be entering the final year of his current deal in 2019. He can go undrafted in the majority of fantasy formats next season.

  • Posted: 11/16/2018 6:50pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns has played less than 20 snaps in back-to-back games, but he said he is staying patient. 'Just wait for the opportunity and control what I can,' Hurns said.

Huddle Up: Hurns has been a disappointment all year, and with Amari Cooper now in the mix, there is no reason to expect him to turn things around.

  • Posted: 11/5/2018 8:42pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns had just one reception for a 23-yard touchdown in the Week 9 game against the Tennessee Titans on Monday, Nov. 5, on just one target.

Huddle Up: Despite the score, Hurns still has just 14 catches through eight games and a total of 28 targets. His fantasy value wasn't great before, but is even worse now that the team has added Amari Cooper. The Cowboys travel to meet the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 6:56pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns went for five receptions for a season-high 74 yards on six targets in the Week 7 loss against the Washington Redskins.

Huddle Up: Hurns hasn't been terribly busy to date, as he entered with just eight catches, 84 yards and a touchdown through the first six outings on 21 targets. This game might be a springboard for the second half of the season for Hurns, but he and his teammates are off in Week 8.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 10:50pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns caught one pass for three yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 5 loss to the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: With eight receptions after five games, Hurns isn't playing up to the contract Dallas gave him in free agency. There's a chance things will get better, but it's probably safe to move on.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 6:43pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns said he is becoming 'frustrated' by his lack of involvement in the passing game. 'The majority of the snaps, I feel like I can get separation,' Hurns said.

Huddle Up: Hurns has just four catches and nine targets through three games, and a go-to option has yet to emerge for the Dallas passing attack. Hurns is a speculative stash, at best.

  • Posted: 8/4/2018 12:12pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (groin) said Saturday, Aug. 4, that he will do individual drills in practice. He has been dealing with some groin issues early in training camp.

Huddle Up: Hurns is looking to put the past two disappointing seasons in Jacksonville in his rear-view mirror, and he has the chance to shine in Dallas with a hodgepodge receiver group. He should be the team's No. 1 receiver as long as he doesn't fall too far behind due to his early injury. Hurns will be an intriguing fantasy depth pick at the receiver position in the middle to late rounds.

  • Posted: 5/28/2018 2:16pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns is using two disappointing seasons in a row and grief from pundits about Dallas having the worst receiving corps in the league as motivation for 2018. 'Our room, we have a lot of guys who have a lot to prove. I like being in a room like that,' Hurns said. 'Each and every day we're going to go out there and push each other.'

Huddle Up: On paper the Cowboys do have one of the worst groups of wide receivers in the NFL, with Hurns being the No. 1 receiver. The departures of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten give Hurns and company a big opportunity to step in and succeed right away. He makes for a great value pick in the middle to late rounds right now.

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Friday, March 23, he plans on signing with the Dallas Cowboys. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports it will be a two-year deal. Financial terms of the contract have yet to be disclosed.

Huddle Up: One day after adding Deonte Thompson, the Cowboys continue their quest to upgrade one of the weakest spots on the team with Hurns, who can play inside or outside. Hurns is capable of beating out Terrance Williams for a starting job, but a platoon seems like the most likely scenario in 2018 - assuming the Cowboys keep Dez Bryant around. Barring an injury to Bryant or Williams, Hurns is unlikely to be worthy of a spot on fantasy benches this year.

  • Posted: 3/22/2018 12:46pm ET

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) is receiving interest from the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Hurns is receiving interest from multiple teams and probably will make a decision in the near future. He can be a solid No. 3 receiver for a team next season and should be considered a late-round pick in most fantasy drafts.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 4:55pm ET

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) said he has received interest from the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Hurns was limited to only 10 games in 2017 and finished with 484 yards and two touchdowns. He could be a No. 3 receiver for a team next season and has a chance to be a late-round option in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 3:38pm ET

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) has a visit scheduled with the New York Jets Wednesday, March 21, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Hurns' situation will have gone from mediocre to worse if he signs on with the Jets. New York did themselves a favor by re-signing Josh McCown and bringing on Teddy Bridgewater, but neither quarterback is consistent enough to make any Jets receiver a week-to-week starting option. The good news is that Hurns would have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a subpar receiving corps.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 7:32am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns will be released Tuesday, March 20, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Hurns is always nicked up, and his 64-1,031-10 season was three years ago now. He's worth monitoring, and there's potential, but he's a WR4 or WR5.

  • Posted: 3/9/2018 6:57pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns could be cut this offseason, according to James Koh of the NFL Network.

Huddle Up: Between upcoming free agents and Hurns' uncertain future, Jacksonville's receiving corps could look a lot different in 2018. After coming on strong late last year, Keelan Cole could find himself with a big role in the offense.

  • Posted: 1/21/2018 3:44pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns finished with six receptions and 80 yards on seven receptions in the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Huddle Up: Hurns did a decent job when he was healthy, stepping up once Allen Robinson went down with a season-ending injury. However, he is normally more of a WR4 or WR5 in fantasy leagues, and should be treated as such heading into 2018.
