Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns (groin) said Saturday, Aug. 4, that he will do individual drills in practice. He has been dealing with some groin issues early in training camp.

Huddle Up: Hurns is looking to put the past two disappointing seasons in Jacksonville in his rear-view mirror, and he has the chance to shine in Dallas with a hodgepodge receiver group. He should be the team's No. 1 receiver as long as he doesn't fall too far behind due to his early injury. Hurns will be an intriguing fantasy depth pick at the receiver position in the middle to late rounds.

  • Posted: 5/28/2018 2:16pm ET

Dallas Cowboys WR Allen Hurns is using two disappointing seasons in a row and grief from pundits about Dallas having the worst receiving corps in the league as motivation for 2018. 'Our room, we have a lot of guys who have a lot to prove. I like being in a room like that,' Hurns said. 'Each and every day we're going to go out there and push each other.'

Huddle Up: On paper the Cowboys do have one of the worst groups of wide receivers in the NFL, with Hurns being the No. 1 receiver. The departures of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten give Hurns and company a big opportunity to step in and succeed right away. He makes for a great value pick in the middle to late rounds right now.

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Friday, March 23, he plans on signing with the Dallas Cowboys. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports it will be a two-year deal. Financial terms of the contract have yet to be disclosed.

Huddle Up: One day after adding Deonte Thompson, the Cowboys continue their quest to upgrade one of the weakest spots on the team with Hurns, who can play inside or outside. Hurns is capable of beating out Terrance Williams for a starting job, but a platoon seems like the most likely scenario in 2018 - assuming the Cowboys keep Dez Bryant around. Barring an injury to Bryant or Williams, Hurns is unlikely to be worthy of a spot on fantasy benches this year.

  • Posted: 3/22/2018 12:46pm ET

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) is receiving interest from the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Hurns is receiving interest from multiple teams and probably will make a decision in the near future. He can be a solid No. 3 receiver for a team next season and should be considered a late-round pick in most fantasy drafts.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 4:55pm ET

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) said he has received interest from the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Hurns was limited to only 10 games in 2017 and finished with 484 yards and two touchdowns. He could be a No. 3 receiver for a team next season and has a chance to be a late-round option in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 3:38pm ET

Free-agent WR Allen Hurns (Jaguars) has a visit scheduled with the New York Jets Wednesday, March 21, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Hurns' situation will have gone from mediocre to worse if he signs on with the Jets. New York did themselves a favor by re-signing Josh McCown and bringing on Teddy Bridgewater, but neither quarterback is consistent enough to make any Jets receiver a week-to-week starting option. The good news is that Hurns would have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a subpar receiving corps.

  • Posted: 3/20/2018 7:32am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns will be released Tuesday, March 20, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Hurns is always nicked up, and his 64-1,031-10 season was three years ago now. He's worth monitoring, and there's potential, but he's a WR4 or WR5.

  • Posted: 3/9/2018 6:57pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns could be cut this offseason, according to James Koh of the NFL Network.

Huddle Up: Between upcoming free agents and Hurns' uncertain future, Jacksonville's receiving corps could look a lot different in 2018. After coming on strong late last year, Keelan Cole could find himself with a big role in the offense.

  • Posted: 1/21/2018 3:44pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns finished with six receptions and 80 yards on seven receptions in the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Huddle Up: Hurns did a decent job when he was healthy, stepping up once Allen Robinson went down with a season-ending injury. However, he is normally more of a WR4 or WR5 in fantasy leagues, and should be treated as such heading into 2018.

  • Posted: 1/14/2018 4:11pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns posted just one reception for 12 yards on two targets in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Jan. 14.

Huddle Up: Hurns didn't do much down the stretch or so far in the playoffs, but he has WR3 or flex potential in DFS play in the conference championship round with just four teams remaining.

  • Posted: 12/30/2017 12:02pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) is expected to play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 17.

Huddle Up: Hurns has not played since the middle of November, so it is not known if he will see limited snaps against the Titans. Owners probably can avoid Hurns this week since the Jaguars have several receivers to throw to in their passing game.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 6:50pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) remained a limited participant in practice Friday, Dec. 29, but he was not listed on the Week 17 injury report.

Huddle Up: Although it looks like Hurns is available to play against the Tennessee Titans, he could see a limited role with Jacksonville's playoff seeding already locked in. After missing the last six games, Hurns would be a risky starting option in the finale.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 2:16pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: The Jaguars are locked into the No. 3 seed in the playoffs, so Hurns may receive another week to rest his injured ankle. Owners can monitor the situation but should look for other options to use in their lineups.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 3:54pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Hurns is a question mark for the regular-season finale. If Hurns is limited or unable to go it appears Keelan Cole and Dede Westbrook will be the biggest beneficiaries again.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 5:50am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 16's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Hurns was listed as questionable on the injury report after putting in three limited practice sessions during the week. If he is deactivated, WRs Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole have a very favorable matchup and are worthy of consideration as WR3 options with plenty of upside in most fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 2:10pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Hurns has been sidelined for over a month because of the injury but should be in uniform against the San Francisco 49ers. He will be a risky option since he has been sidelined for a while but could be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 5:05pm ET

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Hurns is back at practice after missing several weeks because of his injury. His status for Week 16 is uncertain since he is working his way back from the injury. Owners in most leagues should look for other options and avoid Hurns this week.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 8:36am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) remains out of practice Friday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: Hurns looks to be out for Week 15, and Dede Westbrook remains a sneaky flex option against the Houston Texans.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 3:59pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was on the sidelines for practice on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Hurns is a question mark for Week 15, and with the emergence of Dede Westbrook and the solid play of Marqise Lee it's uncertain if Hurns will have much of a roll down the stretch when healthy.

  • Posted: 11/29/2017 1:36pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) did not take part in practice on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Huddle Up: Hurns is slowly making his way back from an ankle injury. The good news is no one has really stepped up in his absence, as Marqise Lee continues to have a case of the dropsies, while rookie Dede Westbrook is slowly working his way into the mix.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 12:29pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: It appears Hurns will miss another game, but owners should check on his status later in the week to make sure. Dede Westbrook would see more targets if Hurns sits but would only be a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/22/2017 2:02pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was not at practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Huddle Up: Hurns didn't play last week either, so not practicing isn't a good start to his week. If he can't play again and/or if Marqise Lee regresses or is limited at all then Dede Westbrook could turn into a sneaky start, but that might be getting too cute.

  • Posted: 11/22/2017 8:37am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Huddle Up: Hurns' sizzle from his breakout campaign two seasons ago has all but fizzled out. He's potentially still worth stashing, but there isn't much upside in the offense to play him if he goes.

  • Posted: 11/21/2017 8:17am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) won't practice Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Huddle Up: Hurns has a 36-446-2 line in nine games this season, and this offense doesn't give him a lot of upside if he goes against the Arizona Cardinals.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 9:21am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Keelan Cole will start in place of injured WR Allen Hurns (ankle) for Week 11's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Cole has been targeted 13 times in the last two weeks and has six receptions for 108 yards over that span. He could be worth rostering in deeper seasonal fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 7:00pm ET

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) has been ruled out for the team's Week 11 game Sunday, Nov. 19, against the Cleveland Browns. He injured his ankle late in regulation Sunday, Nov. 12, versus the Los Angeles Chargers, and head coach Doug Marrone said it is 'unclear' when Hurns will be ready to play again.

Huddle Up: This is a tough blow for a Jaguars offense that is already limited in their passing game. However, if there's a silver lining, it's that Dede Westbrook should finally get a chance to show what he can do, as the 2017 fourth-round draft pick figures to be activated from the injured reserve list ahead of Sunday's contest. Marqise Lee is the safest play this weekend from Jacksonville's air attack but Westbrook could present the most value for owners in Week 11.

  • Posted: 11/13/2017 1:39pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) likely will not play in Week 11 because of the ankle injury he suffered in Week 10, according to head coach Doug Marrone.

Huddle Up: Owners should check later in the week to make sure Hurns is ruled out for the game. Dede Westbrook has a chance to return to the lineup in Week 11 and could receive a decent amount of playing time. Owners in deeper leagues should consider adding Westbrook if they have the roster space.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 3:06pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns caught three passes for 31 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.

Huddle Up: Hurns was coming off a terrific Week 7 performance but has been held to under 40 yards in four of his last six games. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues next week against the Los Angeles Chargers but can also stay on the bench if owners have better options.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 3:51pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns posted five receptions for 101 yards on eight targets in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Huddle Up: Hurns hit the triple digits in yardage for the first time since Dec. 27, 2015 against the New Orleans Saints. He has stepped up as the most dependable option in the Jacksonville pass attack since Allen Robinson went down, but he still is without a touchdown in four straight outings. Treat him as more of a WR4 or flex play heading into Week 9 after the bye, and beware of Dede Westbrook stealing his thunder down the stretch.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 8:44pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns posted three receptions for 37 yards on three targets in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Huddle Up: Hurns was fairly productive once Allen Robinson went down in Week 1, scoring in Week 2 and Week 3. However, he has managed just nine catches for 100 yards on 16 targets over the past three outings. Treat him more as a low-end WR4 or flex play in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 7 on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 2:01pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns posted two receptions for 21 yards on three targets in the Week 5 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Huddle Up: The Jaguars used a run-heavy offensive attack, crushing the value of Blake Bortles and the pass game. Hurns will look for better results for Week 6 against the Rams. Hurns is best used as a WR4 or flex option in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 2:21pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns caught four passes for 42 yards against the New York Jets in Week 4.

Huddle Up: Hurns has seen his targets vary each week, but he has targeted 10 times against the Jets. He will remain one of the starting receivers for the Jaguars but may not be a great fantasy option next week.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 10:00am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns caught three passes for 20 yards and one touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Hurns has been more involved in the passing game since Allen Robinson suffered his injury and should continue to see a solid amount of targets. He will have a favorable matchup in Week 4 but may only be a flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/22/2017 12:44pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Huddle Up: Hurns moved up the depth chart when Allen Robinson suffered his injury and posted 82 yards and one touchdown in Week 2. He will be facing a tough Baltimore Ravens defense this week but could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/21/2017 2:57pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: Hurns has become one of the starting receivers because of the injury to Allen Robinson and is coming off a solid Week 2 performance when he posted 82 yards and one touchdown. He will have a tough matchup in Week 3 and could be benched if owners have better options available.

  • Posted: 9/20/2017 12:48pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Hurns should be picked up in leagues where he's still available on the waiver wire. That being said, he's not a recommended start in Week 3 facing a Baltimore Ravens defense that has been a stalwart this season.

  • Posted: 9/17/2017 5:29pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns posted six receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against Tennessee on seven targets.

Huddle Up: Hurns scored late in garbage time, but fantasy owners do not care when the production comes. Hurns is worth scooping up for receiver depth in all fantasy leagues with Allen Robinson (knee) done for the season.

  • Posted: 8/23/2017 7:08am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns could be on the trade block, in the opinion of beat writer Ryan O'Halloran.

Huddle Up: Hurns had a breakout 64-1,031-10 season amidst a number of injuries two seasons ago and fell back into mediocrity last year. He could return to at least WR4 status in the right spot.
