Huddle Up: Darkwa has some RB5 viability, and he could be as high as an RB3 in the right situation.
Posted: 3/5/2018 9:15pm ET
Huddle Up: Darkwa is coming off a breakout season, rushing for more yards in 2017 (751) than he did in his previous four years combined (287). Overall, he averaged a career-best 4.4 yards per carry and also added five touchdowns. Unfortunately, if he remains in New York and the club ends up drafting Saquon Barkley, there would be no reason to select Darkwa in any fantasy league other than as a handcuff.

Huddle Up: Darkwa took over the starting job during the second half of the season and finished with 751 yards and five touchdowns. He may not be the starter if he re-signs with the Giants but could still be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy running back.

Huddle Up: The Giants could see a big overhaul on offense in the offseason, and it's unknown if Darkwa will be in their plans. He has shown flashes to give him some RB4 viability if he can at least be part of a committee next season.

Huddle Up: The starting job for Darkwa appears to be slipping away, as rookie Wayne Gallman is coming on and gaining a lot of confidence. Darkwa averaged just 2.9 yards per rush in Week 14, while Gallman was good for 4.9 yards per tote. At this point Darkwa is only worth using as a low-end RB3 or flex fantasy option in deeper leagues heading into Week 15.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has been the starter for most of the season but may be sharing playing time with Wayne Gallman moving forward. He will be facing a tough Philadelphia Eagles defense in Week 15 and could be benched if owners have better options.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has collected just 70 all-purpose yards over the last two games and could lose some playing time to Wayne Gallman and Paul Perkins this afternoon. At best, Darkwa should be considered a low-end RB2 or flex option in deeper fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: Darkwa returned to practice on a limited basis Friday, Dec. 8, and was listed as questionable on the injury report. He should be viewed as nothing more than a low-end RB2 or flex option in most fantasy leagues, although it remains to be seen if the head coaching change will impact his role in the Giants' offense.

Huddle Up: Darkwa is a little under the weather, while Wayne Gallman (hip) was removed from the injury report and Paul Perkins is also available. There is a new regime with the G-Men, too, so perhaps they'll go another way. Darkwa's questionable status, the health of the others and the new coaching staff make Darkwa a risky fantasy proposition on Sunday.

Huddle Up: The exact illness wasn't disclosed, but players are usually able to recover from sickness in time for games. Darkwa has scored twice in two weeks, but he is only averaging 45.3 rushing yards per game over that span. View him as a low-end RB2 or flex.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has tailed off in the yardage department over the past two games, but he has two rushing scores across the past three outings. He remains a useful RB3 or flex fantasy play as long as he is getting a majority of the touches in the New York backfield.

Huddle Up: Darkwa had rushed for at least 70 yards in three straight games prior to tonight's outing, and he remains a potential flex option as the lead back for the Giants.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has played OK since taking over starting duties in New York's backfield. He has averaged 16 carries two catches over his last five games, so the opportunities are there to produce. Darkwa has only scored once in that span, but he is an RB2 candidate as long as he is seeing that many touches.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has strung some solid games together since taking over New York's lead backfield role. The Giants do have a short week as they play Thursday night, but Darkwa should be able to take the field barring any setbacks and remains an RB2 option going forward.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has rushed for at least 70 yards in each of the last three games and likely will keep the starting job for the rest of the season. He can be a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option in all standard leagues.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has emerged as a solid RB3 or flex option in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. The Giants host the Chiefs in a difficult matchup in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Darkwa bounced back after a disappointing Week 7 performance and looks to be the team's starting running back moving forward. He can be a flex option for owners next week against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Where did this come from? That's the question many fantasy owners probably ask Monday morning. It's tempting to pick up Darkwa, considering the Broncos only gave up over 50 yards rushing a game prior to this. However, one performance does not make a player. See if Darkwa can do this more often before you take a flyer.

Huddle Up: This means Darkwa should be able to suit up after hurting his calf this past Sunday, but he'll be in a matchup that no owner should want any part of. The Broncos have the league's best rush defense, and with Wayne Gallman likely lined up for the majority of work, that makes Darkwa a tough start in any league. He only deserves consideration in the deepest of formats.

Huddle Up: Darkwa is a fan favorite, and he does some impressive things to make him attractive from a fantasy perspective. However, he has been banged up with a back injury, and now this calf issue. He is only worth fantasy attention in deeper formats at this point.

Huddle Up: Darkwa has been named the starter for this week but will be sharing work with Wayne Gallman and Shane Vereen during the game. Darkwa could be considered a flex option in deeper leagues but owners should not expect a big performance from him.
Posted: 10/6/2017 2:57pm ET
Huddle Up: Darkwa will be battling Wayne Gallman for touches in the New York backfield with Paul Perkins ruled out. He is still only worth a look in deeper fantasy formats and as a low-priced DFS option.
Posted: 9/24/2017 4:31pm ET
Huddle Up: The fan favorite had a 20-yard scamper, but he was mostly stacked up the rest of his attempts. He and rookie Paul Perkins continue to give the Giants nothing in the run game. Perkins might be worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues if Darkwa is unable to play due to the back injury he suffered.
