Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown (knee) participated in practice Friday, Nov. 13. He is not on the injury report for Week 10.

The Huddle Take: Brown will likely go back to his role of poaching carries and receptions from Joseph Addai, thus knocking Addai's Fantasy value down a peg for Week 10. If you have another option for your No. 2 RB this week, you should use it.

Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown (knee) participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12. He is expected to play in Week 10.

The Huddle Take: Brown's return will likely mean he'll return to the role of poaching both carries and receptions from Joseph Addai. Addai's Fantasy value definitely takes a hit with this news.

Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown (shoulder) participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 5. He is expected to play in Week 9.

The Huddle Take: Brown is performing well in practice and appears ready to return to action at least on a a limited basis this week. He will likely split carries with Joseph Addai which will make both runners fantasy factors from this point in the season on. Fantasy owners should check their waiver wires as Brown could have been dropped in some leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown missed the team's practice Thursday, Oct. 29, but he will be a game-time decision for Week 8.

The Huddle Take: The initial report on Brown's injury was one-to-three weeks, so it wouldn't be shocking if he sat this one out. The Colts not only have the luxury of backfield depth with Joseph Addai capable of handling the workload while Brown is out, they also have a cushion in the AFC South and have no need to rush injured players back until they're ready.

Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown left the team's Week 7 game after spraining his shoulder during the second quarter. Brown, however, said the injury is not serious. "I'll be all right," Brown said. "It's something I've had before in college. I know how to handle it. I'll be back (Monday)."

The Huddle Take: There was no reason for Brown to rush back into Sunday's blowout win over the Rams, and Chad Simpson was solid in relief. But, to the likely chagrin of Joseph Addai's fantasy owners, it sounds as if Brown will be back to handle the junior role of Indy's backfield committee.

CBSSports.com reports Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown (shoulder) suffered an injured shoulder during the team's Week 7 game.

The Huddle Take: An injury to Brown opens the door once again to Joseph Addai who has had to share carries with Brown so far this season. Regardless, the Colts will likely not miss a beat on offense as Addai has looked good at times and capable of carrying the entire load if needed. Brown's injury status will likely be updated further on Monday.

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts RB Donald Brown had five carries for 58 yards during the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 14.

The Huddle Take: The highly-regarded rookie Donald Brown from Connecticut has been a solid preseason sleeper candidate and at least during the first preseason game he has lived up to his billing. Fantasy owners should continue to watch Brown during the preseason and if he continues to run like this he could certainly get more playing time and cut into the carries of Joseph Addai.

John Oehser, of The Indy Football Report, reports Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell is impressed by RB Donald Brown's approach. Caldwell said, "Donald has been very studious. He's done things in a very, very professional manner. He's a very, very mature guy for his age, particularly for his first year in the league, just in terms of how he goes about his preparation on a daily basis—it's outstanding. I think that's going to pay dividends." Caldwell said Wednesday, Aug. 12, that Brown has acquired a broad understanding of the offense, and that he "has been able to keep the pace when the speed has been quickened a bit."

The Huddle Take: All signs point towards Brown earning a job share with Joseph Addai, and Caldwell has indicated the plan in Indy is to use two backs. Fantasy drafters have already downgraded Addai and upgraded Brown accordingly, so this is less "news" and more a reinforcement of what the general fantasy population thinks about Brown and his ability to get on the field as a rookie.

The Indianapolis Colts have selected University of Connecticut RB Donald Brown with the 27th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

The Huddle Take: In typical Indy fashion, defensive needs get set aside as the Colts add to their arsenal. Brown is one of the better pass-catching backs in this year's class and should at minimum move into the role vacated by Dominic Rhodes' departure.
