Detroit Lions FS Louis Delmas (knee) is expected to play in the team's Week 6 game. Delmas did not practice Friday, Oct. 12, and is listed as questionable on the injury report; however, he didn't appear bothered by his knee when he came running onto the field 20 minutes into practice and dove into a tackling dummy. The team will likely take a cautious approach in his first game back. 'First game back, so we have to be patient with stuff a little bit,' secondary coach Tim Walton said. 'It's his first one back, so you don't want to overdo it. You got to let him get back in the flow a little bit.'
Huddle Up: A truly positive development for the Lions, who will welcome back their defensive secondary anchor with open arms.

Detroit Lions FS Louis Delmas (knee) did not take part in practice Thursday, Sept. 13.
Huddle Up: Not a good sign for the Lions' secondary, which might be without one of its key cogs for a second straight week. Delmas has been sidelined since undergoing knee surgery Aug. 7.

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said FS Louis Delmas (knee) is still considered week-to-week and his chances of playing in a preseason game is not good at this point. Schwartz is still hopeful that Delmas will be ready for the start of the season.
Huddle Up: The Lions definitely need a healthy Delmas to anchor their secondary, which has seen more than its share of struggles in recent seasons. Delmas missed the final 5 games of 2011 with a knee injury, but would like to begin 2012 in the starting lineup.
