John Niyo, of The Detroit News, reports Lions S Louis Delmas was active for the team's Week 10 game, but he never made it on the field. Delmas had an infected tooth that grew so painful during pre-game warm-ups, he was unable to play in the game.
The Huddle Take: The Lions already have enough problems; to be without their best defensive player against Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson and the Vikings certainly didn't help.

Tom Kowalski, of Mlive.com, reports Detroit Lions FS Louis Delmas has quickly exceeded expectations with his performance this offseason. The Lions had him tabbed as the best safety in this year's NFL Draft but even they didn't realize how promising Delmas would look so soon. The coaching staff is almost giddy in anticipation of what Delmas is capable of as he has already shown the signs of becoming a solid pro.
The Huddle Take: If Delmas wasn't already on your IDP radar, run don't walk to your nearest cheat sheet and get him on there.
