The Cincinnati Bengals announced they have re-signed free-agent LB Rey Maualuga to a two-year, $6.5 million deal. Maualuga could move to strongside linebacker in 2013, with LB Vontaze Burfict taking over at middle linebacker. Maualuga's downhill strength against the run would be best served at the strongside.

Huddle Up: There wasn't much of a market for Maualuga, but he was largely expected to return to the Bengals anyway. He may wind up playing a different role for Mike Zimmer's defense, with Burfict playing the middle and Maualuga being bumped outside.
