The South Florida SunSentinel reports Miami Dolphins QB Pat White will compete at the quarterback position and serve as the team's quarterback in the Wildcat offense.
The Huddle Take: White's role in the Wildcat comes as no surprise; the news that Miami will keep White as a quarterback rather than turn him into a wide receiver is in line with White's decision to work out at the Combine and his pro day exclusively as a quarterback. However, don't rule out the Dolphins finding additional opportunities for White to get on the field as a rookie to take advantage of his athleticism.

The Huddle Take: If only the Dolphins had an offensive formation that would allow them to take full advantage of White's athletic ability and pass/run skill combo. Think, think, think...

West Virginia QB Pat White said during his NFL Scouting Combine interview that he would love to play quarterback in the NFL but would be open to be a wide receiver or a returner if a team asks. He said some teams believe he can play quarterback while others think he will play another position.
The Huddle Take: White could easily remain at quarterback while picking up other positions, much like Seneca Wallace of the Seahawks. In fact, it's that versatility as much as his other attributes that should help him go off the draft board early on Day Two.
