Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) is officially active for the team's Week 17 game.

Huddle Up: Brate could receive a few extra targets during the game with DeSean Jackson sidelined and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 4:37pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 29, and he is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Brate is a question mark for the regular season finale. He could be a very valuable fantasy asset if he plays, as O.J. Howard is already done for the season.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 4:23pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Brate probably will be able to play this week but is coming off a disappointing Week 16 performance when he was limited to three catches and 13 yards. Owners probably can find a better option for their starting lineup and can avoid Brate.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 12:47pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) was sidelined during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: After a two-touchdown performance a few weeks ago, Brate has done next to nothing since. Furthermore, the New Orleans Saints have been one of the best defenses versus tight ends this year. Those ingredients won't make a very tasty dish in Week 17.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 1:49pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate posted three catches for 13 yards on four targets in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Brate didn't do much for his fantasy owners, failing to take advantage with O.J. Howard out for the remainder of the season.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 9:04am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) is officially active for the team's Week 16 game.

Huddle Up: Brate should see more targets than usual with O.J. Howard out for the season. He could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues but could also be benched if owners have better options.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 7:24am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) is expected to play in Week 16's game against the Carolina Panthers, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Brate was a limited practice participant throughout the week and was listed as questionable on the injury report. With TE O.J. Howard (ankle) sidelined for the rest of the season, Brate can be viewed as a low-end TE1 in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/22/2017 3:43pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Brate will be the starting tight end for the Bucs if he is able to play in the game. He probably will see a few more targets during games, which make him a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/21/2017 4:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Brate should receive some more targets with O.J. Howard out for the season. He will be facing a solid Carolina Panthers defense this week but could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/20/2017 6:35pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip, knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Huddle Up: Brate will be the team's No. 1 tight end if he is able to play since O.J. Howard was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. Brate has played well at times this season and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 10:28pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate recorded four catches on five targets for 49 yards in the team's Week 15 loss Monday, Dec. 18, against the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: The receptions and receiving yards were Brate's highest totals since Week 8, and it's no coincidence that he was able to churn out that stat line once teammate O.J. Howard (ankle) went down with injury. If Howard has to miss extended time, Brate should be someone to consider streaming given his chemistry with Jameis Winston.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 7:16pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (knee) returned to the game Monday, Dec. 18, opposite the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: Brate has been a huge disappointment the last two months but he'll get the chance to shine again, at least for the rest of the club's Week 15 matchup. Teammate O.J. Howard (ankle) left the game earlier and will not return. If he misses further action, Brate may end up back on the radar again for potential volume alone.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 6:52pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (knee) had to leave the game Monday, Dec. 18, against the Atlanta Falcons. He's being considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Other than his two-touchdown outing in Week 13, Brate has been a huge disappointment over the last two months, registering more than 12 yards in a game just once in six tries over that span. He leaves tonight's contest having not even recorded a catch, so hopefully he's able to get back in the ballgame. Fellow tight end O.J. Howard (ankle) also had to depart.

  • Posted: 12/16/2017 11:22am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) fully participated in practice Saturday, Dec. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Brate has been a disappointing fantasy option over the last several weeks and has not received a lot of targets during that time. Owners in all leagues should consider other options to use in their lineups.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 2:57pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: Brate appears to be on track to play against the Atlanta Falcons. He has been held to 12 yards or less in five of the last six games but did post two touchdowns in that other game. He could receive a few targets during the game but can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 3:55pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: Despite his chemistry with Jameis Winston in the past, Brate might be someone to avoid right now for fantasy semifinal matchups, as he's seen his number of snaps decrease over the past couple of weeks. He's also logged just seven catches in his last six games, with teammate O.J. Howard seemingly supplanting him as the higher-utilized tight end.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 6:54pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate finished with one reception for 11 yards on his only target in Week 14 against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Brate appears to have fallen behind rookie O.J. Howard in the pecking order among tight ends and that's obviously not good for his fantasy appeal. He is only worth retaining in the deepest of leagues heading into Week 15.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 3:55pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate stepped up with 39 receiving yards and two touchdowns on his only two catches in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Brate was a question mark this week due to a hip injury, but he definitely made a fantasy impact for those who rolled the dice on him.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 9:18am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) is active for Week 13's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Brate was listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in practice on a limited basis during the week. He has not posted great numbers recently, although having QB Jameis Winston under center could make him a somewhat viable fantasy option once again.

  • Posted: 12/2/2017 9:36pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) is listed as questionable against the Green Bay Packers in Week 13, but he is expected to play, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Brate has disappeared from the offense since Jameis Winston went down with an injury, but with Winston likely returning, Brate could be worth a flier if you need tight end help.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 1:37pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) was listed as limited for practice Friday, Dec. 1, and he is considered questionable for Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: If Brate is inactive it would mean rookie O.J. Howard would likely see a bump in targets and production for the road game against the Packers.

  • Posted: 11/24/2017 2:15pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (ankle) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

Huddle Up: Brate has not posted great numbers over the last several weeks and is losing some work to O.J. Howard. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 2:23pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Brate was on the field last week, so he should have a decent chance to play in Week 12. He has recorded only 31 yards over the last three games and probably should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/19/2017 5:33pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate posted one grab for 12 yards on three targets in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Brate was overshadowed by rookie O.J. Howard in this one. Still, don't give up on Brate, as Howard has shown glimpses of brilliance before only to fall back. Neither is a particularly attractive option for fantasy purposes heading into Week 12 against the Falcons.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 5:03pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate posted just one grab for nine yards in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Brate lost Jameis Winston to injury midway through the game, and he was unable to jell with Ryan Fitzpatrick. He'll look for better results in Week 10 when the Jets pay a visit.

  • Posted: 10/29/2017 1:53pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate posted four receptions for a team-high 64 yards on five targets in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Brate led the team in yardage, which is good for his fantasy owners, not necessarily good for his real team. They struggled on offense, posting just three points total. Things should be a little more wide open in Week 9 at New Orleans.

  • Posted: 10/15/2017 7:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate caught six of his eight targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in a 38-33 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, and he has caught a touchdown in four straight games.

Huddle Up: Brate has become much more than a weapon in the red zone this year, and he should be treated as a TE1 in all formats at this point.

  • Posted: 10/5/2017 8:49pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate finished with five catches on nine targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in a 19-14 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 5, his third straight game with a touchdown.

Huddle Up: Brate clearly has the trust of Jameis Winston in the red zone, and his ability to find the end zone makes him a low-end TE1.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 9:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in a 25-23 win over the New York Giants Sunday, Oct. 1.

Huddle Up: Brate has scored in two of the three games this year, and he has remained the top tight end in Tampa Bay despite the addition of O.J. Howard. He is a viable streaming option against the New England Patriots in Week 5.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 1:48pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate caught four passes for 33 yards and one touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Brate is still seeing a solid amount of playing time at tight end even though the team selected O.J. Howard in the first round of the draft. Brate could be a No. 2 tight end on some leagues but likely will not be in the starting lineup very often.

  • Posted: 5/15/2017 7:08am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate will still remain a 'very valuable part of the offense,' which was a sentiment the team has emphasized repeatedly after drafting TE O.J. Howard.

Huddle Up: Brate is coming off a 57-660-8 breakout, but he may not be able to repeat it in 2017. He'll be a low-end TE1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 5/7/2017 5:43pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (back) said he has been fully recovered for more than two months and will be able to participate in OTA workouts without limitations when they begin.

Huddle Up: Brate's fantasy value took a big blow this offseason when Tampa Bay added DeSean Jackson in free agency and drafted O.J. Howard. However, he hauled in eight touchdowns last year, and his impact in the red zone could keep him in the TE2 conversation.

  • Posted: 4/17/2017 2:20pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers restricted free-agent TE Cameron Brate signed his exclusive rights tender Monday, April 17.

Huddle Up: Brate is coming off a career year in which he caught 57 passes for 660 yards and eight touchdowns. The eight touchdowns were tied for most among tight ends (Hunter Henry). Assuming Brate stays healthy and maintains his starting role, he'll be in the running for TE1 status again this year.

  • Posted: 4/17/2017 7:17am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers exclusive rights free-agent TE Cameron Brate signed his tender Monday, April 17.

Huddle Up: Brate broke out with a 57-660-8 year last year, but there are concerns whether he can repeat that. The Bucs really didn't have anyone to throw to besides Mike Evans, who was drawing double coverages. Now they've added DeSean Jackson to open things up. So temper expectations a bit, but Brate is a low-end TE1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 2/28/2017 8:25am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers exclusive rights free-agent TE Cameron Brate was tendered Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Huddle Up: Brate had a breakout 57-660-8 campaign in 2016, and he'll enter '17 as a low-end TE1 option in fantasy.
